What You Choose

Clouds will come
And fall with rain
Whether or not
You choose to complain

Traffic will exist
And will not care less
Whether or not
You choose to feel stressed

People will act
How they want to be
Whether or not
You choose to worry

Focus upon what you
Can change and grow
And what you can not
Just choose to let go

The rain will fall whether you complain or not.
Traffic will exist whether you stress or not.
People will act how they want whether you worry or not.
But focus on what you can change and let go of what you can’t change.

Quote from somewhere 🙂

Savor Your Grace

A drop in still water
To savor your grace
Ripples of the soul
Rise from this space

With sincere gratitude
From the depths of our heart
And from this seed
We find other gifts start

Sprouting into joy
With a taste to know
The giver of all
Living water flows

A dwelling of peace
In shining reflection
One body of drawing
Of sacred affection

And resting within
The fragrance of Spirit
The fruit of our faith
A blessing to share it

Dwell In His Grace

The blessed receiver
To dwell in His grace
A holy moment
Of a sacred embrace

On the goodness of God
To just be amazed
To cherish and relish
And rejoice with praise

As a seed of joy
To plant in our soul
In growing our faith
That God is in control

To flow through our being
The good news of voicing
As a witness of grace
In this day of rejoicing

To see grace upon grace
The Lord blesses our way
With peace, hope and love
Let’s share in Him this day

Time For Eternity

Our thoughts of time
Say there’s never enough
Perhaps ’cause we fill it
With just worldly stuff

To dwell in a moment
Of a grateful blessing
In silence of prayer
In God’s presence, resting

With another soul
To share in the binding
That time stands still
A treasure of finding

To blur the mortal line
To live in God’s grace
Between heaven and Earth
In this time and space

I have time only
For eternity
For God’s love love love
To let consume me

Like fear over death
By grace we will see
That we will have time for
Eternity

A Question Of

We have our life
We draw each breath
We know the truth
We’ll face our death

A question of
All mankind be
The quest to know
Our identity

And our great need
That we all share
Meaning to find
Our purpose here

To love and be loved
That each soul longs
Part of something greater
To which we belong

To whom shall we turn
There is no one greater
Come receive the Word
Of our Creator

On earth as in heaven
Let My will be done
To know My great love
Here I sent you, My son

We Have

With blessings received
In abundance here
In one body of Christ
Together let’s share

Our soul and another
Each encounter of
In willing their good
With our God of love

We have this moment
A choice of our will
In serving His kingdom
A purpose to fulfill

To walk with our Lord
Is our joy this day
A prayer of the knowing
To follow His way

And of tomorrow
We know not what will be
With faith in our Lord
We have eternity

A Misty Morning Winters Day

A misty morning winters day
The field is white, the sky is gray

Cold stillness draws the soul to stay
The silence has something to say

The monochrome tempts to dismay
In barrenness, a passageway

A question posed here to convey
The seen or unseen guides our way?

Through lens of Spirit now to pray
A vision of His to portray

A pasture here of grace to lay
Above a spiritual display

For seeds of hope, to plant today
This season too, will pass away

Always Present

Peace is always present
To choose in any breath
Within and around you
Each moment unto death

Joy is always present
Through gratitude to claim
Sometimes mixed with sorrow
Through the light to proclaim

Love is always present
Unconditionally
Secure within the knowing
Of our identity

Our Lord’s always present
Each of these to bestow
A simple prayer of Presence
In our soul to know

Grace is always present
Offered here for free
The treasure of our faith
Into eternity

One Body Be

We gather together
As one body be
Confessing our sins
Receiving mercy

With a psalm to sing
To share in one voice
To encourage our faith
To praise and rejoice

To hear the good Word
To pause and reflect
To wisdom to soak
Our pathway, affect

Receive our daily bread
Christ dwelling in me
Our God incarnate
Here literally

From the holy fountain
Living water to drink
His Presence so real
In our soul to sink

From here we are sent
In his way proceed
To share the good news
And scatter His seeds

The Power

The power of kindness
Through one act of caring
Moving the soul
In one heart of sharing

The power to bind in
Vulnerability
Two souls connecting
In humility

The power of prayer
Through Spirit embrace
In the Trinity
A divine interlace

The power of love
Let it be our norm
One within God
Our souls to transform

The power of God
Let us proclaim
One body of Christ
In His holy name
