Is traditional music facing unmatched challenges from AI-generated music? Let me tell you a story so you can decide. Towards the end of 2025, a song kept popping up on TikTok, because of its funk-filled melody.
As a lover of funk music, that nostalgic feel kicked in. The song seemed like a flawless composition in the Funk musical genre, and I quickly embraced it. I thought I’d have an easy time finding it.
And that’s where for a time I hit an impasse.
The title of the song is-So many sides of you, and there was no artist name attached to it. On TikTok, it got people asking in the comment section questions like,
Who is the artist? Who sang this song? Where can I find it?
Like the rest of the commenters, I also asked the same question but the TikTok channel author never replied. Everything was kept a mystery.
And so I did a Google search for the song by typing in the song title. However, the most popular song that came up frequently with that title, was a song by Bobby Womack.
So many sides of you by Bobby Womack was released in 1981 on the album, The Poet. That was 44 years ago!
But fast forward to October, 2025, this new song with the same title, was released, but with no artist figure. After an intense search what I found in the searches, was an obscure name.
A two letter word, initials to be precise-IA. It is not known who IA is as an artist, and nothing pointed to the fact that it could be a real person. However the song was out there, and music lovers embraced it.
This way of presenting songs on the internet where there is no artist, band or, musical group behind a song, is not new in today’s world. Rather, it is becoming ever so common in music creation.
And it only points to one direction, AI-artificial intelligence. This is AI-generated music or the use of AI-assisted tools to generate musical compositions.
The use of AI in music is prevalent
Just as AI assisted writing tools are all around us and used to generate tons of articles, there are a plethora of such tools for music creation, which you could collectively call,
AI-assisted music creation tools.
With such tools, anyone with little to some experience, or even with no experience at all in music creation, can use them to make a full song, and upload that song onto a music streaming platform.
AI tools for music creation is vast and varies
AI for music creation is vast. There are variety of tools for every aspect of the music creation process. Tools that are embraced and used by both artists and music composers such as,
With such tools you do not need to be an artist, a song writer or even a music composer, to make songs anymore. Everything can be done at the touch of a click, and you can become an instant hit maker.
And perhaps this is why, So many sides of you, is a fully AI-generated song. So if you are looking for the artist behind the song, you may run into hard luck.
There is no artist, even though the voice of the male singer, in my opinion, in some ways sounds so much similar to Bobby Womack’s voice.
But there’s a YouTube channel JusteFunk Funk where you can find the song. On this channel the information provided refers to the song being,
Provided to YouTube by DistroKid
I checked out DistroKid and found out that it is an online music distribution service. Through this platform, music creators and artists can upload their creation, and directly distribute their music to platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
The platform is a subscription-based website and subscribers are billed annually, the least subsciption being €2.00/mth.
Another information I found on the song is the one below,
Suno ia-So many sides of you Released on: 2025–10–07
I checked out Suno ia which is actually, Suno.com.
This is a site dedicated to music creation using AI tools. On this site, music creation is kid’s play, as it makes use of text-based prompts and a few clicks, to generate a full song in minutes.
Upon registration, you get 50 free song credits which you can use towards creating roughly 10 songs. This song credit is renewed every day, so you can continue using it to make songs.
You can also upgrade to one of their subscription plans, which give you more song credits and more advance features. This is all good as with a tool like Suno, you can speed up the music creation process.
But there’s a problem because now,
AI songs are populating music streaming platforms
Since its release in October, the song, so many sides of you, can be found on many music streaming platforms like Spotify, where you have a full playlist with other songs included.
On Shazam you will probably get the most details there is on the song, while on Volt.fm information is scarce. On the french streaming platform, Deezer.com just below the song title, the content type is boldly written as-AI generated content.
All of this point to one thing, that AI-generated music is populating music streaming platforms and music lovers aren’t aware of what they are listening to, or simply can’t tell the difference between real and AI-generated music.
This is what came up in a Deezer/Ipsos survey report, where people from 8 different countries were asked to listen to three tracks and tell if the songs were AI generated or not. The result?
About 97% of the respondents couldn’t tell the difference between real and AI generated songs. Deezer also went on to reveal that on its platform alone, there are as much as, 50,000 or 34% in daily uploads, of fully AI-generated tracks everyday.
This isn’t surprising as with the wide use of AI, just about anyone with a good idea interested in making music, can use existing tools to create a song.
What are listeners getting?
If we are to take the Deezer/Ipsos survey seriously, that about 97% of survey respondents couldn’t distinguish real from AI-generated music, then what are music lovers of this day and age getting for their money?
After all, streaming platforms are mostly subscription-based platforms which means they derive part, or most of their revenue from paying subscribers.
With the amount of AI-generated tracks being uploaded onto a platform like Deezer, it is worrying to know that as a subscriber, the value your hard-earn money is getting you, is wrapped up in both original and AI-generated songs.
What about the artists?
With AI-generated songs populating music streaming platforms, this is challenging to real artists. Their original works are being displayed on these platforms, from which they earn royalties.
The challenge for these artists in the future, is the likelihood that with the influx of AI-generated tracks, about 25% of creators revenue are at risk by 2028.
So far this fear in loss of revenue should not be a thing artists need to worry about. The market penetration of AI-generated music is still in it’s infancy.
Furthermore platforms like Deezer are stepping up to ensure that 100% AI-generated songs, in the words of the CEO of Deezer, is removed,
“…from algorithmic recommendations and we don’t include it in editorial playlists. This way we ensure the impact on the royalty pool remains minimal, while providing a transparent user experience.”
To make this possible, Deezer has it’s own AI detection tool that can detect 100% AI-generated songs. Once detected, such songs are removed from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.
It is also, among all the streaming platforms, the only one to be a signatory of the global statement on AI training, which is a declaration against the use of copyrighted materials mostly by AI companies for training their AI language models.
Here is what the statement says,
“The unlicensed use of creative works for training generative AI is a major, unjust threat to the livelihoods of the people behind those works, and must not be permitted.”
Currently there are over 50,000 signatories from both individuals, and organizations. This goes to show the level of commitment towards preserving real creativity.
But to music lovers who go about their daily lives does all of this matter much? I mean whether a song is AI-generated or not, good music is always good music, right?
Perhaps!
For the average listener, it may not matter much how a particular track is made. As long as the music is good they’ll listen to it. Because in truth, when the music sound too good you can’t get enough of it, you do not care how it is made.
“If good music comes from being AI generated, then I might embrace it since it’s hard to know what the artists of today are singing.”
This was a comment made in reaction to the song, So many sides of you, though not the exact words. But it goes to show that perhaps in a world filled with artists and creators, there’s not much good music floating around.
This goes to show that perhaps, the traditional, authentic way of making music is hitting hard times, or is currently facing gross challenges from its AI counterpart.
Do you agree? What do you think?
How hackers are making bank

In the month of February, of 2025, BYBIT, the Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange, got hacked. What was stolen wasn’t bits and pennies. Hackers attacked the exchange by exploiting a vulnerability.
The vulnerability made it possible for the attackers to penetrate the system and steal $1.5 million worth of Ethereum. How did it happen? One article writes that,
“The hackers exploited a free storage software product that ByBit used to move Ethereum to another location, most likely coupled with phishing attacks to access control and download malware.”
Some industry experts say that the $1.5 billion in Ethereum that was stolen, is perhaps the largest amount ever stolen in the history of cryptocurrency, till date. But if it is not, then it was the largest amount stolen in just the first half of 2025.
Overall, in 2025 losses amounted to a total of about $4-$5 billion with at least $3 billion in the first six months alone.
This is quite alarming and goes to show how hackers are making bank, with cryptocurrency. But in a digitally connected world, where transaction happen at the speed of light, once transactions occur, they are irreversible.
Funds can and are stolen in the blink of an eye. And many crypto exchanges have seen considerable amounts of cryptocurrency stolen from them. but this is not new because systems are not perfect and where there’s a vulnerability, a hack is surely going to occur.
Vulnerabilities is why hacks occur
This Bybit attack, questions the strength of systems to protect against data breaches. When a hack occurs, usually it means that there is some kind of vulnerability in a system, which hackers exploit to their advantage and extract user data or, as in the case of ByBit, steal funds.
But ByBit wasn’t the only exchange that got hacked. In fact some of the most widely used wallets, and some notable exchanges were compromised. Here are a few of them.
Exchanges and wallets that got hacked
.Trust wallet
The Trust Wallet hack was actually a browser extension vulnerability. When BNB shutdown the BEP2/BEP8(BNB Beacon Chain) network, in December of 2024, Trust wallet ended support for token activities on the Beacon Chain network.
On its website, Trust Wallet gave BEP2/BEP8 token holders, the necessary steps to take, in order to transfer their assets. The guideline explained how users could migrate their assets from BNB Beacon Chain to the newly adopted BNB Smart Chain-BSC.
The transition meant that if you had assets in BEP2/BEP8, you could,
1-swap your assets directly from the app if the swap feature was available or,
2-install the Trust wallet browser extension, on your web browser. Making the transfer was then possible, through the BNB Beacon Chain token recovery dApp.
However on Christmas day, according to a Nominis article,
Trust Wallet suffered a supply-chain security incident affecting its official Chrome browser extension.
When the incident occurred Trust Wallet issued a statement on its X(Twitter) page stating,
We’ve identified a security incident affecting Trust Wallet Browser Extension version 2.68 only. Users with Browser Extension 2.68 should disable and upgrade to 2.69.
Due to the security incident, Trust wallet confirmed,
that approximately $7M has been impacted and we will ensure all affected users are refunded.
Following the incident, Trust Wallet issued the,
Trust Wallet-Browser extension Reimbursement Claim Form,
to be filled out by affected users so they could be refunded.
The CoinBase Hack
If you have ever received an email demanding ransom in Bitcoins so, “your naughty pictures won’t be posted on social media,” this is a ransom demanding attack.
This type of attack is usually common when an attacker tries to scam a potential victim using for example, the adult porn strategy. In this type of scam, the attacker sends an email to the potential victim.
In the email, the attacker goes to length to explains that they have in their possession, compromising photos of the potential victim, while they were watching online porn.
The attacker threatens to release those photos on social media but then the potential victim is given a chance to prevent the photos from being made public.
And that is to transfer an X amount of money in Bitcoins, so the photos won’t be released. The attacker then leaves a Bitcoin address at the end of the mail.
In May of 2025, Coinbase suffered a data breach where customer details were stolen. The attackers then sent a letter to Coinbase demanding a $20 million ransom.
Here is how Coinbase described the breach on their website.
“Cyber criminals bribed and recruited a group of rogue overseas support agents to steal Coinbase customer data to facilitate social engineering attacks.
These insiders abused their access to customer support systems to steal the account data for a small subset of customers. No passwords, private keys, or funds were exposed and Coinbase Prime accounts are untouched.”
The insider data breach that Coinbase was referring to, came from a customer support staff in southeast Asia that involved a local Texas outsourcing firm.
Following the ransom demand, Coinbase responded with a $20 million reward fund saying,
“Instead of paying the $20 million ransom, we’re establishing a $20 million reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the attackers.”
Attackers are getting sophisticated
The above mentioned data breaches on Trust Wallet and Coinbase, are just a few losses that occurred in 2025. However the year in question, according to a Yahoo Finance article, was the most profitable for attackers.
Losses amounted to a total of about $4-$5 billion with at least $3 billion in the first six months alone. Such losses can only point to the fact that attackers are becoming more and more sophisticated in what they do.
And data breaches, scam, and cryptocurrency heists, are becoming more prevalent than ever. They are turning into becoming normal administration, like a daily walk in the park, or going to your favorite coffee shop for a cappuccino.
The biggest losers
For wallets and exchanges that were compromised and the funds stolen, 2025 was a rough year for them. Both centralized and decentralized, cold and hot wallets were compromised.
And there were top loser such as
These figures are alarming for the fact that they signal an increase in the number of crypto theft that occur. And analyst are worried that even though measures are being taken to strengthen the security, attackers will seek ways to by pass these security.
Already at the start of 2026, the first big hit on a cryptocurrency exchange, was $26 million stolen from the Truebit platform. While every attempt is made to secure exchanges and wallets in the coming years, crypto heist may still continue. Hackers will continue to make bank for as long as they possibly can.

If you still have a normal job that takes you out of the house, thank God for having it. Because as long as humans still have jobs they have nothing to be worried about.
A time might come soon, in the near future, when the job position that you currently hold, hold will be taken over by a system. That system is an AI agent, and it will replace you and perform the tasks that you once performed.
The changing landscape
In this day and age where AI is dominant, everything is changing. The workforce is changing. Certain tasks that humans do, certain jobs done by humans are being shifted into the hands of AI.
Tasks are quietly shifting from humans to AI that for the most part, require minimal human oversight. Already, self-driving vehicles, have been perfected to the point where they are 100% autonomous.
Today, AI writing tools are dishing out articles that are almost completely indistinguishable from posts written by a human. This is all normal, some might say. After all, AI is here to help, to assist in a good way. Except, there is an underlying truth that needs to be told.
AI is slowly wiping out human effort.
Whatever you believe about AI, one problem exists. Consider the benefits in terms of how fast it can get things done. Think about how much time it can save or even how cost-saving it might be.
AI is slowly seeping into every area of human endeavor. This is a gradual one-step-at-a-time process, that may soon turn into a total takeover, in a matter of years.
This is happening because AI companies are deploying Agentic AIs. Their interest in full-scale deployment, it seems, is massive. The push is real and they seem to be in a hurry.
But why the push for Agentic AIs?
AI is developing rapidly. Most experts believe that Agentic AI is the second stage of AI. This is where we are right now. Here, things get interesting, and for a very good reason.
Agentic AI surpasses generative LLM models like Chatgpt. It also exceeds similar AI tools like Claude by Anthropic, Gemini, and Deep Seek.
These tools in the way that they function, are prompt-based AI tools. This means you can input text prompts into systems like Chatgpt. It will perform the task you asked it to.
In essence you ask Chatgpt, and it generates a response(Generative AI). Once the task is complete, it stops and waits for your next prompt input. If you don’t give it a task it stays idle.
With Agentic AI, you have a systems that work differently. Because unlike Chatgpt, they are systems that are built to be one step above generative AI.
Here is how one article describes them
“Agentic AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can work on its own instead of waiting for step-by-step instructions. It can set its own goals, make decisions, and change its actions when new information comes in.”
In simple terms, unlike generative AI models, Agentic AI models operate independently. They work in complete autonomy when given a task.
But what does that even mean?
How Agentic AIs work
Agentic AIs are different from the generative AI models you’ve so far been using. As previously mentioned, they are the next level up the AI ladder. Some say this ladder consists of about 5 levels.
Level 1
Generative AI: This is the general base level. It is currently being used since AI exploded onto the scene. Tools like Chatgpt and Claude by Anthropic are prime examples of this.
At this level, AI operates passively in the sense that it does a task when it is assigned a task. For example, you input a prompt into Chatgpt. You ask it to write an article and create a book cover for the article.
This is the task that Chatgpt does. Once the task is complete Chatgpt doesn’t do anything but wait for your next prompt.
Level 2
Agentic AI: This is the level that is currently rolling out right now. Agentic AIs operate differently because they incorporate generative AI prompts but have autonomous decision making capabilities.
This means that they can carry out decisions without any input from you the user. For example, when it creates the article, it might notice errors. It finds conflicts in the article and gets to work to fix them autonomously.
Does this added capability surprise you?
If you are surprised, consider what this can do for a company or enterprise. You will understand why AI companies are pushing for Agentic AI deployment.
Think of it this way.
Imagine a company employs the use of Agentic AI for tasks that were once done by humans. With a set of instructions, it can fill out orders, send emails to customers, and handle customer complaints. It can do all of these tasks autonomously.
To understand all of this better, think of the whole scenario as one in which there are two employees. The first employee(generative AI), only performs tasks when the boss tells them too. Once they finish one task, they wait for the boss to give them another task.
The second employee (Agentic AI) doesn’t wait for the boss. Instead, they go ahead and work to identify problems. They plan and work to fix them autonomously.
This second stage of AI is interesting. It shows what’s possible. It demonstrates what can be achieved with the use of AI. Autonomy is not new. We have seen it being applied to self-driving cars. We have also seen it in other areas where the use of AI is predominant.
But now, the shift is towards enterprise where Agentic AI deployment is slowly becoming a thing. And when you talk about enterprise, you are also talking about the workforce.
This is real people engaged in activities within an enterprise that take home a paycheck. Agentic AI deployment means that most of these employees may see work reduction or be forced into unemployment.
But despite the risk of unemployment, companies are embracing this new technology and according to an article in modern zen,
“As of early 2026, 72% of enterprises are actively deploying or testing autonomous AI agents, with 42% already in production environments.
…but unlike previous technologies…AI directly targets white-collar cognitive work — financial analysis, legal review, customer service, administrative operations, and programming.”
Already a company like Salesforce reduced its customer support workforce size back in September of 2025. This reduction was about 44%. It brought employee figures from 9000 to about 5000.
Like Salesforce, many other big companies have replaced workers with AI agents. A big reason, as many would guess, is the fact that using AI is a cost saver. It can also boost productivity.
Productivity boosts, cost savings, and increased profits. This is what companies are aiming for, when they deploy the use of Agentic AI in their businesses. How this will cause a massive unemployment, or worker displacement in the long term, is yet to be seen.
But here, the question that one needs to ask is,
The Agentic AI footprint in the enterprise world is already taking shape. Companies are embracing it. However, there is still a reason to believe that it may not be fully deployed. It might not leave humans at home and without a job. Human involvement in enterprise will be necessary.

The Trezor app is an app that steals Bitcoins. So if you have Bitcoins worth thousands of dollars, there is bad news for you if you have downloaded this app from the Apple store or Google play . Why?
Well, you see, Trezor as an app doesn’t exist because its makers never built one. But on the app store, there is one and this is surprising and shocking too! The story so far won’t intrigue you because it might be too hard to believe,
because Apple takes privacy and security seriously. This, even with the apps in their app store which they make to go through severe reviews and checks before inclusion. Apple’s app store store according to Apple itself, is the world’s most trusted marketplace for apps.
It is easy to believe that because ,every app submission according to them, comes under severe scrutiny. This means that the apps are scanned and reviewed thoroughly to ensure that they are safe to download and use, secure and trustworthy, useful and unique. But a man, Phillipe Christodoulou, downloaded the Trezor app onto his phone to check his bitcoin balance.
He got the biggest surprise of his life after he downloaded it, and entered his credentials. In less than a few seconds he found to his shock that nearly all the 17.1 bitcoins that he owned, the equivalent of about $600,000 at the time it happened, was gone.
Phillipe questioned the sincerity of Apple saying they marketed their app store as a safe and trusted place because each app is reviewed before it is allowed in the store. An angry Christodoulou, once a great admirer of the company, now sees it differently since his bitcoins were stolen.
In fact, in an interview he said that, ” Apple betrayed his trust in them and that they shouldn’t get away with this.”
Perhaps he’s right to say that Apple shouldn’t get away with this. And while his annoyance is understandable and legitimate, something else which most people aren’t aware of, or might be aware of, is at play here. And that is Cryptocurrency scam.
What happened to Christodoulou is a scam designed to steal cryptocurrencies. According to a Coindesk article, the fake Trezor app was developed for the sole purpose of stealing users Trezor passphrase or seed phrase. It is an internet scam like any other scam but one that targets cryptocurrency.
And experts say that of all the internet scams known, cryptocurrency scam is the most lucrative of them all. In split seconds millions of dollars can be stolen from crypto wallets. The statistics are not very comforting to say the least considering that, the purpose of cryptocurrency, was to serve as an alternative to the bank-controlled fiat currency.
But alas, vulnerability issues pop up every now and then that allows scammers take advantage, and to amass crypto fortunes. Looking through the Google app play store and typing Trezor, what comes out are the mostly commonly typed in keywords for the app such as
Trezor bitcoin wallet
Trezor wallet app
Trezor wallet
Trezor
Trezor model t and
Trezor one.
But typing these keywords into the play store search bar doesn’t bring up the app anymore. Instead the user is presented with an array of other apps- crypto wallets precisely. Google and Apple have since taken measures to remove it from their respective app stores. This sounds like good news and a breath of air to possible future victims.
And although it is comforting to know the app has been taken down, what is disturbing is the fact that so many people trusted it enough to download it. Downloading it like Christodoulou did, they may have also been scammed. In fact one user after downloading the app and using his passphrase to login found to his surprise that the app didn’t work.
After a few days of trying, he went on to a Reddit forum to put the question to redditors and that was when he got the surprise of his life. The answer he got was that the Trezor app doesn’t exist!
Trezor is a hardware wallet whose maker is a company called Satoshilabs in the Czec Republic. It started around the year 2010 and then in 2013 it was legally incorporated tas it says to,
“develop, manufacture and deliver the world’s original cryptocurrency hardware wallet.”
Then a year later, the company shipped the first Trezor one hardware wallet, and the rest they say, is history. Up until now, however, Satoshilabs says it has yet to develop a downloadable Trezor app. it is however in the process of doing so and declares that it has never had one.
But concerning the Trezor app found on the app market, it claims it had warned Apple and Google over the years about fake apps posing as Trezor.

Update 22/02/2026
After all the noise around the Trezor app stealing Bitcoins, we decided to look into how much has gone into making the Trezor app reliable, over the years. Here’s what we found.
Over the years, Trezor has built itself into a trustworthy and reliable company that offers digital services for cryptocurrency while remaining open source. The company that started in 2014 is making great strides in the cryptocurrency world.
Hacks and scams still abound. Many cryptocurrency holders are aware of this fact. They know that they run the risk of losing their crypto savings, due to a simple error they could make, such as misplacing private keys, etc. The safest bet is to rely on hardware wallets
What does a hardware wallet do?
A hardware wallet is a digital device that you can use to store your private keys offline. This allows you to protect your crypto assets even if you accidentally get your phone hacked, or magically gets reset thereby you lose all your data.
Trezor has been in the crypto industry for the sole purpose of safeguarding your crypto assets, by offering hardware wallets. It has from it’s inception in 2014 created digital hardware wallets that are open-source.
Being open source means that Trezor values transparency and security and to this end. By adopting open source code, both experts and the general public can check for bugs and other malicious codes.
Here are some of the features that makes Trezor worth considering should you decide you want to purchase a hardware wallet.
This is the app that you can use to manage your hardware wallet. There is both a mobile and desktop version from where you can buy, sell and swap your crypto assets with ease and security.
It supports over 100 cryptocurrencies
Using the Trezor hardware wallet means having the Suite app from where you can conduct transactions with ease. Trezor supports over 100 cryptocurrencies among which are Bitcoins, Ethereum and a host of other of the most widely used cryptocurrencies.
The list of cryptocurrencies is constantly updated so you can check it out on this page.
Device loss
Device loss is a concern for many people in that on most devices, we keep our most important and valuable data. Take the smartphone for example. People are so attached to it that they keep credit card pins, private keys and other valuable information, on it.
As with all things, smartphones can get lost, misplaced or even magically reset thereby erasing stored data. By storing your private keys on your smartphone, you may run the risk of losing your crypto assets, if you cannot recover your private keys.
With the Trezor hardware wallet, your crypto assets are not stored on it. Only your private keys, are. Your funds remain on the blockchain so even if you lose your Trezor hardware wallet, you can always restore your access on a new Trezor wallet.
Trezor hardware wallets come in three types. There is,
Trezor Safe 7 model
Trezor Safe 5
Trezor safe 3
Going further there is the version specifically for Bitcoins only, such as the, Trezor Safe 7-Bitcoins only; Safe 5 Bitcoins-only, and Safe 3-Bitcoins only.
There is also a backup solution for your wallet’s 12, 20, 24 private key. This allows you to safeguard your private keys so you don’t lose them.
In conclusion, Trezor has come a long way from the past to solidify its presence in the crypto asset security industry. With the amount of tools and services it offers and the constant updates, you can trust that using any Trezor hardware wallet, comes with enough security and protection of your private keys.

It might be easy at first to agree that the Covid-19 Pandemic is a serious health problem on a global scale. And it would be easy to believe that everything governments all over the world are doing to make sure we are safe, is possibly done with our best interest in mind. However, many think that this is not the case. Because according to this article,
They have crashed every economy. Businesses large and small, shut down and lost, lives and livelihoods at risk.
If this is the state in which we live right now, then it goes to show that apart from the idea of the pandemic being a serious plague to humanity, we still don’t know what the solution to end this pandemic is. And even the vaccines that have been put out at the moment may not do the job of eradicating the virus in the immediate time frame that we want it too.
Planetary Hysteria is written to give us some idea or better still enlighten us about the true nature of the Covid-19 virus and the whole drama or hoax surrounding it. It is one of those articles that draws your attention towards all the hype surrounding the pandemic and how we have been caught up in “pandemic mood” supporting restrictions, wearing face masks, while practicing social distancing and yet feeling somewhat relaxed about it.

I did quite a bit of research on this topic for my book that came out last week, and I’ve seen several bloggers mention that they’re also contemplating doing books at some point, so I thought I would share some of what I’ve learned. I’m by no means an expert, but I’ve managed to get past the initial deer in the headlights phase.
There are multiple ways to publish a book, and you can stick to one or do a a mix of several. Amazon is the biggest fish in the sea with their Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) program. They allow you to publish an ebook and/or paperback with no up front costs to you. I’ll come back to them soon.
You can also publish directly through other book publishing platforms. Apple’s iBooks is one option, and they have an iBook Author app that can help…

First Edition Design Publishing - a hybrid publisher
By Amy Collins
So many authors launch their first book (or second) before building a list of readers and fans and THEN start working on attracting readers. They labor under the false idea that they need a book FIRST and then they can start building their readership. I mean, how ELSE do you build a base of fans and readers until you have a book?
Well, Nicole Evelina, the author of The Guinevere’s Tale Trilogy did just that. While she was working on her first book she decided to start drawing readers into her online “web.” This self-published author is now so popular with readers that when she has a new book coming out, thousands of rabid fans crash into each other buying her newest release.
So I asked Nicole to share with me:
