James Fielden is a freelance sound editor, adr recordist, and re-recording mixer based in L.A., with over 30 years of experience in audio post-production. Born and raised in the UK, he has built his career across television, feature film, documentary, and animation — working with leading studios and networks, earning a reputation for creativity, technical precision, and exceptional storytelling through sound.

His television credits include Reno 911! (Comedy Central), Everyone Still Hates Chris (Paramount+), The Express Way with Dulé Hill (PBS), Roots of Comedy (PBS), Royal Crackers (Adult Swim), Mulligan (Netflix), Housebroken (Fox), Ultra City Smiths (AMC), and specials for Shark Week (Discovery).

On the feature side, his work includes Speak (2025), Trilogy: New Wave (2024), Who Is Stan Smith (2022), Reno 911!: It's a Wonderful Heist (2022), Blue's Big City Adventure (2022), and The Hunt for QAnon (2021). He has also mixed themed attractions for Universal Studios and independent themed parks around the world, mixed thousands of promos, and recorded countless ADR and voiceover sessions.

James has received two Golden Reel nominations and is a Full Member of BAFTA. Currently working on several new and exciting projects, he looks forward to bringing his experience and passion for sound to your project. Outside the studio, he is an avid reader, writer, and photographer — and travels with his dog, Bobby.
