Lens Artists Challenge #389: Time to Relax

In our busy lives, it’s always good to claim time to relax, refresh, and rejuvenate. That gives us the opportunity to think, or not, things the speed of life, social media, and doom scrolling steal from us daily. But not just people need time to relax, as you’ll see in some of these photos in response to Anne’s Lens Artists Challenge for this week. I relaxed so much (or was so busy) that I almost didn’t get my entry in. 🙂
This first one is for Tina, because she loved it so much the first time I posted it. Relaxing in Wyoming wildflowers high in the Bighorn Mountains is my idea of time off, too.

My sister-in-law and I spent some lovely afternoons in France just “being.” In case you’re wondering, “being” while sipping bubbly with mirabelles is even better than simply “being” alone.

You’d be quackers not to rest when the chance presents itself!

Ben Franklin relaxing in Philadelphia on the campus of Penn University. Reading is one of my favorite ways to relax.

If too many others are trying to relax, it can be a problem!

And sometimes, even though it might not look relaxing, it is. I hope you’re able to relax this weekend, off all your devices, and take time to just “be.”

but hope the photo adds some joy to your Wednesday.

Friday flowers…orchid

Whenever I have an orchid plant, I keep watering it once the initial flowers are gone and quite often it will bloom at least once more, sometimes multiple times. Here’s the start of a second flowering, with buds waiting. It’s a small flower with outsized beauty.

Happy Friday the 13th, my lucky day! 😊
Let there be (a cool) light

This light and other, similar ones, fascinated our granddaughter while having brunch at Gabi James in Redondo Beach a few Sundays ago. They fascinated me too, especially as they were all somewhat different in shape.

P. S. The food is delicious too. 😊
