Blessings To You All
As the year year ends our journey here continues for all of us .I have come across so many wonderful bloggers and wrtiters on this platform .I am so thankful that we have this opportunity and I realize that I must continue .The events leading to my being here is a quest to seek answers to many things .
Some things I will share with you all .I have decided that I will write from my heart and not fear being judged .I am learning to let go of my own fear , fear of being judged ,fear of losing job ,fear of not having enough and fear of the unknown .
I had become my own worst enemy ,sabotaging myself with all this fears .Iam learning to let go of my fears by being grateful ,and counting my blessings instead of the losses .I am learning to forgive myself so I can forgive others.I am learning to let go of the pain and resentment from people who have hurt me .I am allowing myself to acknowledge those feelings .I am trying to appreciate every little thing and every one .Even the ones who hurt me has taught me something .
I am trying to listen with an open heart ,and not give advice without being asked .Some times people just need some one to listen ,especially the children .
On the most challenging times I try to think of the worst event of my life ,and compare ,and say to myself that ‘it can’t be worse than that ”
So my dear friends I thought all this time that the opposite of fear is Courage.However the conclusion that I came to is not courage but FAITH .
SO with this faith I am here once again pouring my heart with the hope that all of you out there have faith in me and yourselves .
May all of you have a truly blessed Year Ahead .
As to Who is the Godly Person
Just when I was seeking some answers , I turned on the radio in the car .I was almost going to change it when the topic caught my attention .
The host was doing an interview with a certain doctor on Meditation .Often I cannot shut my brain when trying to meditate ,so I hoped to get some insight .I did get a few pointers ,for example to focus on a dot or an object for a period of time will set your mind in the state to meditation etc .

He went on to share the story of a meditation teacher ,who sat out to meditate .One of his students came and asked for him ,and his wife told him that he was at the shoe store .
The student was puzzled for he could see the teacher meditating .After his session was finished he asked his wife the reason why she told his student he was at the shoe store when she clearly saw that he was there .
Wise wife told him that while his physical body was there ,his mind was at the shoe store because the shoe monger gave him the wrong pair of shoes.And his mind was thinking and planning how to tackle with him when he goes to return the shoes.The teacher confessed that it was true .Which tells us that even the teachers of meditation have their own challenges .
I continued to listen as I felt like that was not the answer I was seeking that day .
Then the radio host went on to ask this doctor about “the Godly person ” or the true ‘bhakti”.
He goes on to ask ,that if a person goes to the temple ,mosque and church to pray and do all the Godly things ,but he is not honest ,and hurts other people is the Godly person or the ordinary person who just lives his life and never goes to the temple mosque church etc ,but does not lie ,cheat or hurt any one ?
And the doctor confirmed that the ordinary person is the “true bhakti” or the “Godly person ”
There was the answer I was seeking .During some of the interactions and encounters with people I often see the judgement passed by remarks or by body language by people who think that they are better than the other just because they cover their head ,or they visit their temples etc or .It bothers me a lot therefore it was very heart warming to hear the conclusion to this interview as he confirmed every thing that I believed to be true .
the joy in the unexpected
Has this ever happened to you all out there ? .When one’s faith is almost wavering in humanity , then when you least expect some one you never thought of offers to assist .
My car of 12 years finally gave up on me twice in a day .Luckily not on the freeway .Yes I mean it when I say luckily ,for I am very grateful that I was not on the bridge either .( it is very challenging to count your blessings during times of stress and adversity)
Who do you believe? , when one mechanic tells you that the one who worked previously is not to be trusted .He is the reason for the vehicle stalled .
I realized how inconvenient it was not to have a car ,and empathized with the rest of the world who took the bus bikes ,etc .But I still needed my car and as soon as possible .
And more great news to follow , this new mechanic does not have courtesy cars , now what who do I call .I had to go to work and had a to meet some one ( an acquaintance ) .Trying to figure things out I text my some one and told her my circumstance and that I will be late .
So here comes the “unexpected “, I do not know this person very well and she texts me back ” do you need a lift”.And those words just moved me and I thought to myself , you know what it’s not so bad after all ‘this too shall pass” and hence my faith in humanity was renewed
.So all you great people out there , go ahead and offer that hand out to a stranger or to any one in need .You never know you just might make some one’s day .
