Prompt#365 is a video to think about and base your piece on .
You cannot give respect to someone unless you are grateful to them.
On the other hand, someone will respect you only when he feels grateful towards you.
It is a two-way transaction.
Give respect, get respect.
So, stay as far away as possible from people who think that getting respect is their birthright.
That is why they consider others inferior to them.
It is your duty to set your boundaries.
Be grateful to the Universe, and to yourself too. Respect yourself first.
Everything starts at home, right?

Set Your Boundaries – Reena’s Xploration Challenge #365
शिकवा
किसी मशहूर शायर ने कहा
“मैं भी मुंह में जबान रखता हूँ
कोई पूछे की माजरा क्या है.”
Methinks’
Schadenfreude
Prompts for the Promptless – Ep. 3 – Schadenfreude
Schadenfreude is pleasure derived from the misfortune of others. An English expression with a similar meaning is a Roman holiday, a metaphor from the poem Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage by George Gordon, Lord Byron, where a gladiator in Ancient Rome expects to be “butchered to make a Roman holiday” while the audience would take pleasure from watching his suffering
( opposite word- mudita, “sympathetic joy” or “happiness in another’s good fortune,” is cited as an example of the opposite of schadenfreude.)
Whenever I watch DISCOVERY CHANNEL or National Geography Channel and come across films on lions, tigers, or other carnivorous animal hunting deer, antelopes, or other lovely animals. Then enjoying watching these films seems to me as if I’m a Schadenfreude. Or, when we pluck flowers to decorate our homes aren’t we getting pleasure from their pain.
Some people get pleasure from, pigeon fights, cockfights, and bullfights, and to me getting pleasure from boxing and wrestling is also indulging in the Schadenfreude act. there are several examples of this. Some people get pleasure in being cruel to others, terrorizing others, killing, raping, or other heinous crimes.
In communal riots, I have watched people killing, beating, and burning alive people of other communities and enjoying. It was so a devilish act.
Sometimes senior students in the name ragging do inhumane behavior with junior students and enjoy their activities.
Some people enjoy wealth earned by selling spurious milk, medicine, food items, etc. They enjoy while others suffer from their actions.
In every country, we can find some examples of the Schadenfreude Act.
Silence is golden- sometimes
Why it is that
foolish people are compared with donkey
and not with
cow, zebra, giraffe or monkey
methinks,
the answer is simple
as you may say
both don’t know
when to keep mum and when to bray.
( No offense intended for donkeys, they are lovely and hard-working. They are stubborn, and single-minded and will go to extreme lengths to get what they want, especially when someone says, “No, you can’t have this. “)
A thought for Corncob
When roasted on slow fire
Rubbed with butter or lemon and salt
It is a delightful food to savor
So serve it to the person who is hungry and
relishes it with fervor
Than to a person who eats it without gratitude
As if doing it a favor
Soma, this is for you.
SOLITUDE
Standing all alone
a forlorn stump
bereaved of all the leaves
amidst thousands of people,
city, full of crows and ever-fighting magpies,
birds, fellow trees, sparrows
I miss
friends, near and dear ones,
gone
Solitude is a curse or bliss.
