Two great volumes of Derek Jarman works are a must for any film connoisseur.
My only complaint is related to advertising of vol. 2. You did not list in it "Edward II" and so I bought it separately. In fact, it is included in vol. 2.
Thank you BFI for two wonderful volumes, numbering 10 Blu-Ray discs.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 February 2020While I would have liked this to include more (especially Super 8 shorts), there’s no denying the BFI have done an excellent job with both this and the Volume 1 set. Get it while you still can.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 March 2019I have made a complaint to the Bfi for the version of my favourite film in this boxset, The Garden. It is truly horrible. The 35mm sections are unclear, spattered with random white spots, often pixelate and become unclear. Overall the picture quality is very poor. The response I received was as follows:
The Garden was originally shot mostly on standard definition video and some instances of Super 8mm film. The film was then edited using standard definition video editing equipment. The final step in the process was transferring that video tape to 35mm using very early video-to-film technology and creating a master 35mm negative. The resulting 35mm prints made from that negative, which were approved in 1990 by Derek Jarman, were then released into cinemas.
For the BFI's new Blu-ray release we worked closely alongside The Garden's producer to create a new 2K master using that original 35mm master negative, which had been used to create the original 35mm distribution prints (approved by Jarman). Older home ent releases of the film were mastered directly from the video tape that was used to create the 35mm negative and do exhibit better definition, however they don't represent the film as it would have looked in cinemas in 1990.
Unfortunately I got rid of all my old versions of Jarman's films that I had collected on dvd in order to afford to by this 'upgrade'. Perhaps I should have held onto them a bit longer until I saw what the quality was like, but I assumed that a blu ray release of a film would have a better picture quality than preceding copies.
Having said that, the other films in this collection are all produced well and there are much more interesting extras in this second box set than in the first. Its interesting to compare Jarman in 'Ostia' to Dafoe in Ferrera's recent 'Pasolini'
and its nice to finally see the man himself being interviewed at length. Now all we need is a super8 collection...

agustinReviewed in Spain on 12 July 20204.0 out of 5 stars Edición genial para pedir de importación
Una joya tener esta edición recopilatoria de Derek Jarman y de los inicios de Tilda Swinton.
El problema es que no tiene subtítulos al castellano. Aunque las películas de Jarman juegan mucho con la imagen y hay poco diálogo.
