If you look at the news, there aren’t a lot of heroes to be found today, much less superheroes. And yet, I believe that we are all superheroes in our own ways.
Do you see any superheroes in my images for today?
.
Maybe I’m a superhero in writing songs that inspire other superheroes, and maybe one of these videos will go viral on Viral Video Day!
.
Thanks to all the superheroes out there, including YOU!
Every day, I do online puzzles and other tests of my memory and cognitive abilities.
These days, there are many tests of our capacity to stay involved and to fight for human rights. As I learn through my experiences as a psychotherapist and a human being, these tests can be exhausting.
Yesterday, I underwent several tests of my ability to learn new technology as my music producer Riccardo tried to teach me how to record my own music at home using Audacity. We recorded tracks for my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” and soon we’ll be sharing that on Spotify, which will be another test of my songwriting abilities. After trying different tests of audio quality for almost a year, we’ll also be sharing the live performances of my original songs on Spotify soon.
What tests do you see in my images for today?
.
According to the Daily Bitch’s tests, I’m a chump.
Here’s what I find when I search for “tests” on YouTube.
According to that test, I’m very imaginative. By the way, that video flunks the audio-quality tests Riccardo and I keep discussing, but it still has hundreds of thousands of views.
What are your thoughts and feelings about tests?
Thanks to all who help me deal with various tests every day, including YOU!
Yesterday, at the organization’s meeting, Massachusetts State Senator John Keenan offered inspiration for more activism and involvement in the political process.
.
Before the Senator spoke, I had the inspiration to perform my protest song and somebody had the inspiration to record most of that and post it on Facebook.
If you can’t see me and all the attendees singing my song there, here I am trying to provide inspiration after the meeting.
.

What gives you inspiration?
Thanks to Senator John Keenan, the woman at the Stop & Shop with the great sweatshirt, the inspiring folks at March Forward Quincy/Indivisible, our cats, Via Cannuccia Restaurant, my inspiring friends on Twitter, and everyone else who gives me inspiration, including YOU!
What, me worry about whether you know where the saying “What, me worry “ comes from?
.
That’s Alfred E. Neuman, the mascot of Mad Magazine, which I read religiously when I was young. What, me worry that I was now years old when I found out some new-to-me information?
.
What, me worry about
waking up in the middle of the night?
the state of the USA and the rest of the world?
my health?
aging?
other people’s problems?
performing my protest song in front of people at rallies?
the images I choose to share with you today?
.
What, me worry about hairballs, penguins, East meeting West, and everything else on that list?
The reality is that worry doesn’t change anything and can make us afraid to act, so instead of worrying, take the next small step.
Here’s what I find when I search for “What, me worry?” on YouTube.
.
What, me worry about your comments?
Thanks to all who are here for this “What, me worry “ post, including YOU!
Yesterday, when I was dealing with one of the nicest people on Earth, I was trying to schedule our next session of working together on the audio versions of my original songs. Neither of us wanted to suggest a starting time on Sunday that would inconvenience the other person, so he sent me this text:
.
I had never heard the term “Canadian Standoff” but I immediately knew what he meant.
Here’s what I find when I google “Canadian Standoff.”
.
That makes me wonder whether nice people will ever walk through that door to move forward. I hope so, because I wish more nice people were in charge these days.
Do you see any Canadian Standoffs in my other images for today?
Come to think of it, “you don’t scare me” is a helpful phrase.
.
Do you see any helpful phrases in my images for today?
.
My late mother, whose birthday was April 22, had many helpful phrases including “Everything worth doing is worth doing well.”
Thanks to my mother, my friends on Twitter, people who protest the current USA administration, and everyone else who helped me create this helpful phrases post, including YOU!
One of my priorities is becoming known for my open-access, attend-when-you-choose therapy group and also for my original songs.
What’s becoming known to me is how little I know about becoming known.
The best I can do for now is to keep doing what I love and to be aware of opportunities for becoming known. It’s also becoming known to me that I shouldn’t be too invested in becoming known, since that might interfere with the wonderful experience of getting to do what I love to do.
As I discover over and over again in my therapy groups, we all have a need for becoming known — not necessarily becoming famous but definitely becoming seen and recognized for our authentic selves.
As the news is now becoming known all over the world, I feel very sad about the death of Pope Francis. Pope Francis always seemed to be a good, empathic, and caring man, while others in positions of power have been becoming known as capricious, vengeful, and greedy.
(Which reminds me, I’m going to record my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” today with hopes that it will becoming known.)
It’s now becoming known to me that Pope Francis requested another break with tradition for his burial place, which will be the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the first place we visited last month when Rome was becoming known to us.
