Day 4563: I have questions

In case you haven’t noticed, I have questions.

Today, I have questions about many things, including, What is happening to my country? Why haven’t several people gotten back to me, including the guy who recorded my two songs at yesterday’s protest? Why is Harley our cat puking so much? Why aren’t more people puking about the current USA administration? What can I do to make things better?

I have questions, as you can see in my images for today.

I have questions, including what is Leap Second Time Adjustment Day?

Here’s the kind of song I write when I have questions:

.

I have questions about whether clicking on this link will show you the local news report about yesterday’s rally.

Do you have questions about this I-have-questions post?

Thanks to all who pay attention to my questions, including YOU!

Day 4562: What to expect

I rarely know what to expect these days, so it’s often helpful when people tell me what to expect.

Image

.

I don’t know what to expect when this local activist sings her protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” and her parody song “The Age of Nefarious” at today’s rally, but that’s okay.

You might not know what to expect from my other images for today, but here they are.

I don’t know what to expect from your comments and I look forward to them!

You might know what to expect at the end of this blog post: it’s gratitude for you!

Day 4561: Difference

Last night, I had a dream about writing a post about difference. The difference between that dream and reality was that no matter how I tried, I couldn’t write it.

Difference is something I think about a lot, so today I looked up difference quotes.

.

What difference do you see in my other images for today?

What difference did you notice there?

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “difference.”

Day 4560: Preparation

Here is my first thought about preparation: no matter how much preparation I do, something unexpected happens. Therefore, I mix my preparation with openness to improvise and adjust along the way.

Yesterday, as I was starting my preparation to sing my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” and my parody song “The Age of Nefarious” at a local demonstration on Sunday, I forgot the first chord of “You Don’t Scare Me” despite all my previous preparations and performances of that song. If that happens on Sunday, I’m prepared to just sing it a Capella.

After a few minutes of preparation, here are my images for this preparation post.

Day 4559: What is a Good Title for This Post?

It’s time for another edition of “What is a Good Title for This Post?” !!

Over my many years of daily blogging, I’ve used this during those rare days when I can’t see any common theme for the images I’ve gathered the day before. So I rely on the good people who read this blog to suggest a title.

What is a good title for this post?

A good title for this post might be “What are Other People Thinking about You” — but that is actually my sneaky way of sharing my original song with that title.

.

Is “Thank You” a good title for this post?

Day 4558: Triggers

Here are the lyrics of my original song “Triggers.”

For me it’s the cold and the dark.

For him it’s not finding a safe place to park.

For some it’s a loud noise.

For others it’s rude boys.

For many it’s news of attacks by a shark.

Everybody’s got a trigger.

Most of us have more than one.

Some are small and some are bigger.

None of them are ever fun.

Triggers are remnants of memories traumatic.

Reactions to triggers can seem over dramatic.

Triggers can haunt you, but don’t let them daunt you.

Because there are ways to make them less automatic.

Everybody’s got a trigger.

Most of us have more than one.

Some are small and some are bigger.

None of them are ever fun.

Therapy treats people’s triggers.

Research has proven some facts and some figures.

Certain movement of eyes, much to people’s surprise,

Make reactions to triggers smaller in size.

Everybody’s got a trigger.

Most of us have more than one.

Some are small and some are bigger.

None of them are ever fun.

People get triggered, that’s known.

I’ve gotten triggered each time that I’ve flown.

If I’ve triggered you here

My apologies, dear,

I hope that it helps to know you’re not alone.

Everybody’s got trigger.

Me and you and you and you.

Some are small and some are bigger.

Now my Triggers song is through.

Here is a live performance of my Triggers song:

.

My triggers include the cold, the dark, being rejected, making mistakes, forgetting the words while I’m performing, cruelty, and awful people in positions of power over me.

Do you see triggers in my other images for today?

Day 4557: When it all feels like too much

This is one of those times when it all feels like too much.

When it all feels like too much, I’m glad there are supports like the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line.

When it all feels like too much, I self soothe by taking photos and asking questions.

When it all feels like too much I am even more grateful for people like YOU.

Day 4556: Wouldn’t You Like to Know

Last night I saw Todd Rundgren in concert and I loved all of his songs, including “Wouldn’t You Like to Know.”

Wouldn’t you like to know how much gratitude I have for Todd Rundgren and for you?

Day 4555: What a mess!

After the U.S. President bombed Iran last night without congressional approval, the title of today’s blog post has to be “What a mess!”

Day 4554: Harmless compulsions

Some may think of these as concerning psychological glitches, but I think people have harmless compulsions.

My harmless compulsions include looking for mistakes, telling the truth, expressing my feelings, taking pictures of animals, checking multiple times to make sure I’m leaving the house with what I need, waiting before opening delivered mail and packages, counting rabbits on walks with my husband, blogging every day, and assuming I’m not alone in harmless compulsions.

Do you see harmless compulsions in my images for today?

Here’s a song I compulsively wrote about harmless compulsions;

Another harmless compulsion of mine is collecting many different thank you’s so I can always express my gratitude to YOU!
