Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and also the day before Halloween.  My angel sisfur Sadie wasn't too keen on Halloween because of the scary trick or treaters at the door and my little sisfur Angel hates the doorbell so she really isn't keen on Halloween.  Me, I'm so mellow that I sleep right through it but I have found something in common with this pumpkin.  Can you guess what it is?

I have orange in my furs and this pumpkin is orange.  You didn't think it was something else did you?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

PeeS:  Thanks for the suggestions for feeding schedules yesterday.  I didn't mention it but I weigh 13.2 lbs which I think is just fine but it does make my legs a little short.  The evil v-e-t didn't say how much I should lose just that I have to stop gaining and should lose some to prevent arthritis.  Yeah, she's a party pooper.    Angel is still waking Mommy up but she gets her 8 hours of sleep even if it takes two nights to get it instead of one. 

Trick or Treat?

This big ol' bowl will be filled with treats for the little brats goblins that ring our doorbell and scare my little sisfur on Halloween...

You'd think that if a whole bowl of treats can go to other people's kids then surely our bowls would be filled with treats too but nope, last week the evil v-e-t said since I gained a lousy 1/2 lb in six months I have to go on a diet...

Diet?  That four letter word isn't allowed in our house!  Neither are empty bowls!

Since we're fed the same but Angel is a grazer and I clean my bowl, she's on a diet by default but she doesn't realize it until 2am which is when she's been waking Mommy up for treats.  I don't know who's grumpier about all this - us or Mommy!  Oh what I wouldn't give for one of those birdies right now!

Does anyone have any suggestions how to put one cat on a dreaded diet while the other isn't?  Our crabby Mommy would appreciate it!

The Leaves are Falling this Sadieday...

Happy Sadieday!  Since one of our sisfur Sadie's favorite things to do was play in the leaves we thought we'd see what is so fun about them.  We already know it's fun to watch them fall from the trees but once they're on the ground they just lay there...

They sure don't do much of anything at all...

I'll make sure it's deaded...

Sadie must have had different leaves because these ones aren't a whole lot of fun...

Yep, her leaves flew which does look like way more fun!

She certainly had a tail waggin' good time!

Thankful Thursday

We're thankful for many things every day but today we're thankful for gifts from our woofie friend, SisseeLou!  SisseLou's momma, Melana, recently made us really pretty mats for under our food bowls and SisseeLou had her include gifts for us!

Who knew a dog would know the purrfect gift of little mice filled with nip!

Mommy took lots of photos but they are all pretty much blurry since it was night time and the mice were so fun to play with I wouldn't hold still...

She also sent crinkly paper that was really fun too.

SisseeLou sent a mousie for Angel too but she was a little leery at first...

but it didn't take her long to whap it...

She got a big whiff of nip too and it made her all crazypants...

Do you think beans will ever correlate disturbed alone time for us to 2am wake up times for them?

Signs of Fall on Sadieday

Happy Sadieday!  We were enjoying lovely weather but Mother Nature has reminded us that Fall is here by bringing back the rains.  We realize the rain makes everything greener but it also takes away our sunpuddles. Our sisfur Sadie liked the rain because it brought another kind of puddles - mud puddles...

She never missed a chance to feel that mud between her toesies...

Fall weather always makes us kitties snuggle and Sadie got a little closer to snuggling with us too...

And of course she loved every minute of being close to us...

No matter what the season, Sadie was a very happy girl...

We hope you're happy whatever weather Mother Nature is bringing you today!  And remember to spread smiles this Sadieday and every day and they will be returned to you too!

Reading is a Very Good Thing...

There are many reasons I learned to read such as reading your blogs or my friend Sparkle's book but another reason is to help Mommy read the paper in the mornings.  Good thing I did or else I wouldn't have known there's such a thing as Endless Prawns!
