Gentlemen – this post is going to talk about Women’s Health, Menopause, Hormones, etc.  If you are not curious, dievca completely understands.  she would suggest if you have a Lady or female submissive in your life – consider her age and what she might be dealing with via aging and read on.

So, dievca is getting her “ducks in a row”.  she gone to the GYN, has a mammogram scheduled for next week.  she’s written down the cancer history of her family, spoken to her female cousins (as she has no sisters and her Aunts are dead), read the research on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), had a discussion with three Doctors, spoken with Master (he knows her body best), her periods have been gone for a year.

Her hot flashes are not bad, she sleeps reasonably well (wakes 6 times), her brain fog is minimal, her build doesn’t lean towards osteoporosis, sexual libido is good,  she has almost no vaginal dryness.

Yet, dievca is going to try Hormone  Replacement Therapy.

Why?

Master suggested that she needs to have goals with the Therapy otherwise, doing it to just do it is ridiculous.  dievca has two goals in mind and the therapy might help or not.

1. Better sleep – may assist with belly weight loss.
2. Less body aching – which may help with loss of muscle and flexibility
3. dievca’s Mom was on hormones for 20+ years and was very active and “young”.

So, dievca is waiting until after the mammogram to begin her regimen. she wants a current baseline for what her breasts look like pre-hormones. dievca is writing down her current body state, so that she can document the changes as the “team” figures out the best dosage for her – and as a reality check if the whole process is worthless or not worth it. 

dievca’s  process begins with estrogen alone for a month to determine what changes occur – she is starting with a “middle” dose level, so that it can go up or down.  Progesterone begins the following month.
