Okay, so we are side tracked from dancing…..for now. We have just had our first blizzard! We are through it now.  Some places received 45…..yes I said 45 inches of snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We received about 20. Thousands lost power and are still waiting to get it back. This was all almost 2 weeks ago. Boy, who  knew the Black Hills would get a blizzard so early!!! But, alas, Princess absolutely  LOVED LOVED LOVED it! I didn’t work for a week and just about went stir crazy! But all is getting back to normal and we are setting our sights to the next POW WOW!!!!!!!

Snow in the Black Hills??? Okay so I am not ready for this yet! It is oh so cold!!!!!! My dashboard on my suv actually said “ICE” instead of the temperature!!!!! If it wasn’t so cold, it would be funny!!!! There is a ginormous pow-wow this weekend and I am hoping to get princess there. We both received flu shots and are feeling pretty icky…..So we may veg out today and go tomorrow. We are both hoping to feel better so we can go.

WE are loving this move! There is another pow-wow tomorrow night and we are going! Princess should have a brand new costume by next month, so I will try to post. Have a great night 🙂

The pow-wow was great! Princess danced both days and is ready for more! I didn’t enter her into any contests yet, but I am hoping to at another dance coming up in the middle of the month. I found someone to make her an entire outfit to include the leggins (something I am not good at), all I have to do is purchase the beads! How cool is that! Of course she is a relative 🙂 that always helps. So hopefully we will have a complete outfit by month’s end. Well, have to go for now. Hope all is well with everyone reading…….

Well, princess will be dancing this coming weekend! She is very excited. I don’t have my own computer set up yet, with the move and all so I can’t post any pictures yet. I am hoping to have everything set up by the end of the month. I haven’t been able to locate my movie camera, so I cannot get any film yet either.

I love being back home. I forgot there are many pow-wow’s throughout the year. She is very excited. She is even adjusting to school. which is a good thing 🙂

Today princess was able to practice her skills. She did great! We were at a small pow-wow and she loved it! I came across a few women who will help me make her costumes throughout the years and I am so happy about that! Next stop high top beaded mocassins! We are hoping to go to our Nations Annual gathering. Well, just stopping by to see what is up! Hey bunny, I may be moving back to this neck of the woods….I’ll keep you posted 🙂

Hey all. Well we are here in Bunny’s neck of the woods and have been since about the 2nd of July. It is so beautiful! Bunny, I haven’t slowed down long enough to call you, but promise I will. My mobile phone doesn’t work so well here. I just moved my mom into her new place and hopefully we can play tourist a little more! The scenery here is sure different than the desert! Trees! GRASS!!!!! but, also mosquitos……..Princess is having a problem with them. Then with the weather change we were sick the first week here. But the antibiotics seem to be kicking in pretty good! So, all in all, our little vacation is turning out pretty great! Hope all of you ladies are having a great summer! ttyl 🙂

Pow-wows are comin’…………………….! In Bunny’s neck of the woods. I have only heard of about 3 here until December??????? Princess will outgrow her costume by then!

I know, I haven’t written for a long time, but life happens and we just manage to survive day by day.

School is out and I am very happy. Yesterday we received a Honor Roll certificate for Princess. She was 4.0! I am beaming with pride. Another for reading hours…..wonder if I sent all of the planners back??? hm, oh well. Her Homeroom Teacher is pretty fair. (not me, her real homeroom teacher, Ms. Jackson) She will be in the 3rd grade this fall. She thinks she is so grown up 🙂 She has been invited to participate in the Gifted and Talented program at her school. I think it is computer based, not sure. I barely managed to get her returning paperwork faxed out 🙂  So, she obviously doesn’t get it ftom me! ha!ha!ha!

Anyway, Bunny, I plan on being in your neck of the woods next month for about a month. So, we will have lunch and really catch up!

Okay, so today princess tells me that she does not want to dance because in 5 years she will be 13??????????????????  mmmmm………… okay…………… anyone????? 

I am hoping this is a passing phase…….anyone with teens have this????????????

Okay, I get it…..I’m 3 days late, but the sentiment is the same. I hope all you bomb mothers out there had a spectacular day! My princess was very generous with me.  Happy Belated Mothers day and I send you all love 🙂
