2021 Reflections

 

Trips in CeCe, oh the places we traveled, 

From Carmel to the desert without

our pawrents becoming unraveled.

 

We saw big trees, and mountains and long windy roads. 

We saw pretty ponds full of loud toads.

 

Such special times we had, my brother Arty and I,

I'm so glad we had them before we had to say goodbye.

 

A new year is upon us, so much to do

A new home, new adventures to look forward to.

 I know we will have so much fun,

But I'll remember Arty and smile as I bask in the sun....

Thankful for Our Moving Team

 

Today, we want to thank our moving team and bring you all up to date on the move! 

 

Our moving team mostly consists of Mama and Daddy, but they did get a champion real estate agent who did helped them get our home on the market here in California quicker than quick.  Right now, our house is "under contract" whatever that means and we are spending lots of time in the car or taking walks while they "do this and that" and inspect everything. 

 

Mama and Daddy decided to wait until we are all out in New Mexico before buying a new home.  So for the next six months or so we'll be renting a house in the area where we want to live.

 

 

 Over the next few weeks, Mama will be driving a car out to NM, and then flying back here to stay with us until the moving people come take all our stuff to NM. Daddy will be driving CeCe out to New Mexico soon and staying to start his new job. The plan is to all be together in New Mexico by the end of January.

Thanks Mama and Daddy for all the packing, stressing and traveling to get us to our new state!

The Weather Outside is Frightful!

We've been having record snow up here in the Pacific Northwest this week!!!

 

 

 Unfortunately at our house, 

instead of snow, we are getting pouring rain.

Thankful for Friends

 

Today, on this last Thankful Thursday before Christmas, we wanted to say how very thankful we are for you!

 

 

Things have started getting crazy around here. Mama and Daddy are running around packing things up like crazy!  

 

We really like when Mama sits down at the computer with us to read your posts in the evening. We can almost feel her relax and love to see the smile on her face when she reads all of your posts to us. 

 
So thanks to all of you for helping us relax and smile during this crazy time of switching houses!

Nature Friday - Looking back to Monterey Bay

 

 

Rosy here, hangin with my Gnomies! Today, I thought I'd show you one some highlights of one of my trips to Monterey, CA!

 

We all know Arty's Ocean is in Monterey.

 

 

 

 

 

There are bunches of marine life. It is also the home of some big fish viewing place called the Monterey Bay Aquarium that Mama raves about.

 

 

 

But during the Spring and Summer there are some beautiful flowers too!

 

 

 

These "Pride of Madeira" are around every turn!

 

 

 

I have it on good authority they are a favorite hiding place of Gnomies.

 

 

 

 Birds also like to perch on them....

 

 

 

 

This little song sparrow seems to be 

thinking of what to sing next...or perhaps 

 he is composing his next song?

 

 

 

We also got to see this "Aloe Peri Peri" blooming. 

What beautiful red/orange flowers!!

 

 

 

 If you ever visit Monterey remember, the marine life may be the star attraction, but the flowers and birdies are pretty cool too!!

 

 

 

We hope everyone gets out to view some nature this weekend and remember...

Thankful for Big Sisters

 

 

(Rosy)So Eddie, it seems Sunny has been placed on the Naughty list this year because some elf has been snitching on her. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you??? 

 

Sunny, why don't you go outside and let me talk to Eddie alone....

 

 Eddie, you know I have video footage of you eating all the  cookies we put out for Santa last year. How about you put in a good word for Sunny, and I'll make sure a copy of the video doesn't get to Santa?

 

 (Eddie) WOW Sunny, it looks like I made a mistake and you ARE on the nice list this year!!

 

 

 Today, I am thankful for a smart Big Sister who knows how to "negotiate" with sneaky little elf snitches!!
