I know it’s there
though I still search
for trill of songbirds
over sun-dappled trails
the lush of green buds
sweet scent of hyacinth
and where are the rainbows?
my thoughts thaw quickly
long for swift rivers
to dilute my delusions
of a flourishing world
where truth is perennial
love grows like ivy
and spring does not hide
