There is plenty to celebrate this July 4th

Common sense has returned.

The biological definition of a woman is back and is part of the Congressional Record.  (1)

Gas and food prices are down.

Largest taxes cuts in history put in place.

Accountability is returning.

Sovereignty is reasserted.

Borders are sealed.

Wars have ended.

Freedoms are returning: Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion are key among them.

Freedom to safely travel is returning.

Those who broke in are being returned home.

Women sports are for women only again.  (2)

Charles Stanley says: Freedom is a word with multiple meanings. Some think of it as rights guaranteed by law to all citizens, others might envision release from a debt, responsibility, or illness. But no matter what definition we choose, there’s something inherent in us that yearns for liberty.

When the prophet Isaiah, and later Jesus (see Luke 4:18-19), spoke of “the favorable year of the Lord,” it was a reference to the Year of Jubilee described in Leviticus 25:8-55. During this period, all debts were to be erased, all slaves released, and land returned to its original owners. The Year of Jubilee can be seen as a metaphor for God’s salvation. The greatest freedom we can experience is the forgiveness of our sins, liberation from the strongholds that have held us captive, and the restoration of our relationship with our Maker and His creation.

The Word of God holds many promises of freedom for those who put their trust in Jesus. For example, we have freedom:

• In Christ (John 8:36; Romans 8:2; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1).

• From sin (Acts 10:43; Romans 6:6-7; 1 Corinthians 10:13).

• From fear (Romans 8:15; Philippians 4:6-7; 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV).

But with freedom comes responsibility. Getting a driver’s license is exciting because it means the freedom to drive, but you still have to follow rules. Living in a land that has declared independence from other countries means you’re free, but even the freest nation has laws its citizens must obey. For that matter, a person who defies all authority and attempts to live as he or she pleases is still subject to the laws of gravity, nature, biology, time, and the seasons. Similarly, freedom in Christ does not absolve us of responsibility and accountability.

Coming is a process which has begun.  There are those who resist the comeback. Some of them are paid protestors who can’t explain what or why they are protesting and there for their love of money.

At the same time revivals are breaking out as people head back to God. As reliance upon God increases the devil’s bark will increase as his bite looses it power. This is classic battle where good defeats evil again. Our help comes from above.

Keep looking up!

Quest For Peace

January 2, 2025

By Reverend Paul N. Papas II

January 1, 2025

We are concluding what could be the worst four years in modern history two world views tearing at each other. We know good trumps over evil at times t seems as though evil is winning.

The recent bombings which have plagued other parts of the globe seemed to have been let into the USA with one report that over 1,000 Terrorist are in the country now. One goal of these terrorist, just like any other bully, is to instill fear, keep you anxious and rule over you by fear. Don’t let them have it, stand up against them.

Just as God showed His Hand of protection and presents in Butler PA He is not yet done with the USA.

The hurricane victims who were denied even basic assistance by the government in DC they were helped by individuals and organizations such as Samaritans Purse.

Just like God is not yet done with the USA, He is not done with you.

“As Hurricane Laura raged through the Gulf of Mexico toward the US coastline of Louisiana, the warnings were dire. One sheriff, noting the 150-mile-per-hour winds, issued this jolting message: “Please evacuate. But if you choose to stay and we can’t get to you, write your name, address, social security number, and next of kin and put it in a Ziploc bag in your pocket. Praying that it does not come to this.” Rescue crews knew that once Laura hit land, they could only watch the storm’s destructive path—helpless in its wake.

Whenever God’s people in the Old Testament faced natural or spiritual calamity, His words were far more certain and hopeful, promising His presence despite destruction. He said that He would “look with compassion on all her ruins; [and would] make her wastelands . . . like the garden of the Lord” (Isaiah 51:3). And more, God always assured His people of the rescue and healing that would certainly follow if they would only trust Him. Even though “the heavens [would] vanish like smoke,” God said, His “salvation [would] last forever” (v. 6). Whatever the damage, His ultimate goodness toward them wouldn’t be thwarted, ever.

God doesn’t safeguard us from hardship, but He does promise that His restorative healing extends far beyond the ruin.”  (1)

The message over the centuries remains the same God is not done with His people. God Blesses people and Nations who honor Him.   “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1.

Whatever your situation, whatever your need the best place to look is up.

The peace of God, “which transcends all understanding,” is the harmony and calmness of body, mind, and spirit that supersedes earthly circumstances.

“The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” Proverbs 3:5

The quest for peace is attainable with God are you ready?

Not The Time To Put A Lid On It

March 4, 2021

By Reverend Paul N. Papas II

March 2, 2021

It has been on a constant loop: “If you see something, say something”. I don’t remember hearing there was any fine print or exceptions to that “rule”. We can see there clearly are.

With all the talk of what is essential; one item was left off the written list of the essential and non-essential items, and that is free speech.

In practice the drumbeat was “Thou Shall Not Contradict The Official Pronouncement”. No matter what your station in life, should you wander off the official script and have a different point of view, the hordes of Huns will be released to destroy you, your family, your employment or business and employees. Even if you should recant your ‘error’ of having a different point of view and grovel coast to coast, you will be destroyed, not welcomed back, and canceled. This does not fit any definition of free speech that I have seen.

Freedom of speech has become vital because, without freedom of speech, some people won’t be able to communicate effectively and even say a word when things are going wrong.  Freedom of speech is essential because it can change the narrative of how people feel when they express themselves in public.

Freedom of speech is not a new concept. Freedom of speech can be found between the early 5th and 6th century. It was recognized by the Roman Republic which added freedom of speech and freedom of religion also. The fact that freedom of speech was essential at that time should tell you that freedom of speech is vital and very important even in these modern times.

Freedom of speech remain essential to us and our society, although the first amendment was instituted in 1791, the ideas of human rights that lead to freedom of speech is on paper in ancient human right documents.

The Founding Fathers of our Constitutional Republic saw Freedom of Speech as so essential to maintaining our Republic that they included it within the First Amendment.

When Freedom of Speech is fully operative:

  • It enables the dispersion of excellent and accurate information.
  • It enables media to present both sides of an issue accurately, eliminating Fake News.
  • People will get the impact of new ideas.
  • Freedom of speech is essential and ensures meaningful communication
  • If you can’t communicate you don’t have the liberty to express yourself freely.

Clarity of information depends on the extent to which freedom of expression of thought and freedom of speech is open in all the changes and processes taking place in society. It helps the community to stay in harmony, protects the business, and promotes foreign exchange. Free Speech gives individuals peace in running daily activities with people.

Without Free Speech we would live in a Socialist or Communist society where dissidents are punished brutally, perhaps purged to re-education or death camps. Socialists and Communists quickly silence, canceled, opposition.

Much of today’s media in cooperation of Big Tech parrots talking points of one point of view to which “Thou Shall Not Contradict”

In support I offer the following news story with a video:

Fox10 Top Rated News Anchor Resigns, “I don’t like the way the media is going

 March 2, 2021 by Sundance

Fox10 News Anchor Kari Lake has reflected on the trend-line for U.S. media and decided she can no longer participate in an industry that has devolved to a system of narrative engineering.  Ms. Lake speaks directly to the issue of manipulated news feed script and she is no longer willing to participate in this activity.

Kari Lake: “Journalism has changed a lot since I first stepped into a newsroom…  I don’t like the direction it is going. …I’m sure there are other journalists out there who feel the same way.”

——–

Dangerous attacks on the Free Speech are well articulated by Paul Craig Roberts in his article titled “The New Journalism Is Destroying Us” https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2021/03/02/the-new-journalism-is-destroying-us/

Why Is FREE SPEECH Important?

——–

A denial of free Speech relies on and foments fear, the same fear the schoolyard bully relies upon. This fear leads way to anxiety and a whole host of mental health issues.

Here is one expression of  Not The Time To Put A Lid On It from the Network
