An open source container cluster manager. Managed by Kubernetes Contributor Communications. DMs are not monitored
About us
Kubernetes is an open source system for managing containerized applications across multiple hosts. Kubernetes builds upon a decade and a half of experience at Google running production workloads at scale using a system called Borg, combined with best-of-breed ideas and practices from the community. Kubernetes is hosted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). If your company wants to help shape the evolution of technologies that are container-packaged, dynamically scheduled, and microservices-oriented, consider joining the CNCF. For details about who's involved and how Kubernetes plays a role, read the CNCF announcement.

The Kubernetes Dashboard was officially retired and archived on January 21, 2026. To continue providing a modern, extensible web UI for the community, the project now recommends transitioning to Headlamp. Now under SIG UI, Headlamp is a user-friendly tool for managing and troubleshooting your clusters. Check out the project and docs here: 🔗 https://headlamp.dev/

Want to contribute to Kubernetes but not sure where to start? The Kubernetes New Contributor Orientation (NCO), held every 3rd Tuesday (2 time zones), walks you through: • How the project is structured • Ways to contribute (code & docs) • Common first-time pitfalls • How to connect with the community As Swathi shares: "Though I was nervous about keeping up with technical discussions, the NCO session was incredibly welcoming and full of actionable tips for long-term success. I left feeling supported and excited! Today, I regularly contribute to SIG Contribex and am part of the Comms team for the v1.35 release — I have the NCO to thank for giving me clarity and direction." Next session: 17th Feb Check it out and add it to your calendar: https://lnkd.in/gz_ZJxR3 #Kubernetes #opensource
