I got this for my daughter when she was 15 months, and she is still playing with it 6 months later. In fact, she has played with this just as much as she has with her new Christmas toys. It should be noted that we have the all plastic, no fuzz set, which did not come with the white fences (pictured in some of the photos) or DVD.

I had the older version of this toy when I was a child and loved it. Many people complain that it's "not the same," and while it's not, I don't let nostalgia eclipse the obvious: it's well made with more moving parts and features than the old one, and bottom line, it continues to entertain my child daily.

Boy or girl, the Fisher-Price Little People Animal Sounds Farm is fun, will keep the attention and occupy more of the play time then many other toys because of choices of things to do and activity in making things work. Also there is enough variety and creativity that your little one will "want" to play Farm. This is a toy that can be used for play by themselves or with others, providing they both don't want the same animal. Very well made, living up to Fisher Price reputation of excellent quality and safely constructed toys. Good to stimulate imagination, coordination, reasoning (do you put the cart before the horse, so to speak) memory, learning the names of animals and sounds they make, creativity. I highly recommend this toy as a fun as well as a learning activity and have purchased 2 as gifts for small children in my life. They love it and the moms love it too as it keeps the little ones entertained for a little while.

As with all Fisher-Price toys this one is very well made. My grandson loves to put the animals in the top silo and then open the door to see them piled at the bottom. The doors make noises when they are opened which he loves to copy. He has learned the noises that each animal makes and when asked will show you which is the sheep, horse, etc. All the pieces fit comfortably in his hands but are not too small as to be dangerous. All around fun to play with and great teaching aid.

The item purchased is exactly what I would expect from Fisher Price...an excellent teaching opportunity in a very fun way. My granddaughter, who is one-year old, loves animals and this farm has all the animals that you would typically know to be farm animals, plus the sounds that they make are so realistic. The animals are made solid enough for her little hands to hold easily, but too big to be swallowed when she feels she needs to "taste" them, as all little ones love to put things in their mouths. I know this farm will provide hours of learning fun for her; even her big sister who is almost four-years old loves it, too! A great toy!

I had a version of this farm over 40 years ago and I remember loving it. I bought one for my daughter 6 years ago and I was so pleased with how far the product had come. It was durable with many different areas of play. We gave it away when my daughter grew out of it and bought this one this year when my second daughter turned 1. I am SO disappointed! It is not made well - not as solid. There is no merry go round - something the other farm had. There is no place for the goat to be placed to hear his sound and the chicken is cannot be removed. There used to be a fence that could be constructed....it's just NOT the same toy. Additionally, I'm sure I paid less for the mode 6 years ago. What a shame. Would not pay $35 for this toy. I'm sure there is something better out there. Will be looking.

This toy is decent. It is a little hard to play with in an ergonomic sense. The amimals are easier to play with in the back of the toy, but the sounds are made from the front. For the age group that this toy appeals to, it is too difficult to play with and doen't really have any great features. My 18 month old doesn't really show too much interest in it although he loves all the animal figures. I was disappointed in it as my kids absolutely love the Little Peope house and play with it all the time...

I had one of these Fisher-Price sets a couple of decades ago. Then I watched my cousins have fun with one. So when I made out a Christmas list last December for my two year old son, I just had to purchase the Animal Sounds Farm for him. In the beginning, he didn't seem to care much for it, but now at two and a half years, he can't seem to stop playing with it.

The set came with a variety of figures to play with, including a horse, pig, sheep, goat, and farmer. They are chunky, easy-to-grasp plastic--perfect for a toddler's grip. Mine do not have fur which is a huge perk in my book as I feel my completely plastic figures are a little easier to sanitize. My son really enjoys stuffing all the animals in the silo for storage when it is time to put the farm away.

The farm makes a variety of farm animal noises when doors are opened and closed or the appropriate pieces pushed. The farm is also crafted in a solid way and has survived all manner of reckless treatment from my child. It has been a versatile and well-loved fixture in our home this spring, and my child also enjoys mixing in random animal figures from other playsets in the barn. He cares more for the animals than for the sound options so I feel that the farm is actually encouraging some imaginative play.

I have never seen a great price on this particular set through Amazon or any store. It has always seemed a bit too pricy for my lean wallet, but given the durability, I think this set will outlast my daughter's toddler years and will probably become a bit of a bargain in the end.

This toy provides lots of both fun and learning activities starting at age 1 - 2. It plays a bit of I think the song is "Old Macdonald" and makes animal sounds in response to the toddler's pushing buttons and opening and shutting doors and sliding panels (which develops fine motor skills), and when they get to the "putting small things into bigger things" stage it's endlessly engaging. Meanwhile, Gramma gets to teach what each animal says and act out little barnyard stories...ideal modeling for how a person can entertain themself with imagination. And Gramma especially loves the silo, where everything can be put away when play is done so that grownups don't hurt themselves tripping over or stepping on small plastic toys.

Ich habe den Bauernhof meinem Patenkind geschenkt und Sie war total aus dem Häuschen! Ich konnte die Sachen gar nicht schnell genug auspacken. :) Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut und es gibt immer wieder Kleinigkeiten zu entdecken. Die kleine ist gar nicht mehr davon weg zu bekommen. Die Tierstimmen sind sehr gut und auch nicht zu laut oder zu leise. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen und würde es immer wieder kaufen!

Lo trovo molto utile sia per i bambini molto piccoli, che così cominciano a conoscere gli animali, i loro versi e a divertirsi con gli sportellini apribili e sonori della fattoria ma anche per i più grandicelli che con la loro fantasia creano "storie" ambientate all'interno della fattoria.

Molto robusta, ben costruita e piena di dettagli stampati nella plastica della costruzione o adesivi.

Arriva già montata con 5-6 animali e il contadino Little People che possono essere utilizzati per altri giochi del marchio!

Très amusant. Notre enfant de 12 mois était émerveillé devant ce jouet. Les bruits des animaux sont très bien identifiables. Nous envisageons d'acheter plus d'éléments "Little people" suite à cet achat.

Tiene los sonidos de los animales en el corpartimento que le corresponde a cada uno y la musica de Old Macdonald. Los 5 animales que incluye y el granjero son de un plastico que no se rompe por mas golpes que le den. En la parte del granero puede esconder los animales para hacer diferentes juegos de adivinanzas. El gallo puede lanzar a los otros animales para que caigan por el lateral que parece un tobogan.
