Sunday in New York included something I always try to make time for when I’m in the city. Meeting interesting builders in our industry. Brunch, a walk through Central Park past the boathouse, and the chance to spend some time with Madeline Fraser. Madeline is the founder of Gemist.io, and one of those entrepreneurs who moves comfortably between two worlds that are increasingly intersecting venture-backed technology and fine jewelry. Before launching Gemist, she had already built companies in the tech world.   Jewelry came later, sparked by the very personal experience of trying to design her own engagement ring and realizing how much room there was to rethink the process. What followed was the creation of a platform that approaches jewelry from a different angle, blending customization and digital tools with the craftsmanship and meaning that have always defined this industry. I always enjoy meeting founders who bring fresh energy into a very traditional space. Jewelry is built on relationships, trust, and centuries of craft. Technology doesn’t replace that foundation, but it can absolutely expand how people experience it. And New York always seems to be the perfect place for these kinds of meetings. A scheduled catch-up, a walk through the park and a founder who clearly enjoys building things that challenge the status quo. A very good way to spend time in the city. #Jewelryindustry #Gemstones #Diamonds #BusinessStrategy

A few weeks on, and this moment still makes us smile. At AGTA Tucson, Elle Hill, Founder & CEO of Hill & Co., and Pamela Bernstein-Gulla, Chief Engagement Officer, with Madeline Fraser, CEO & Founder of Gemist.io, capturing a lighter moment between serious conversations. Trade shows are where strategy gets sharpened, partnerships deepen, and the future of the industry gets debated in real time. They are also where genuine relationships are built. Sometimes over product. Sometimes over policy. And sometimes over a quick, unscripted photo. Madeline represents a new generation of innovation in jewelry technology and customization. Those intersections between legacy expertise and emerging models, are exactly where meaningful evolution happens. Yes, the work is serious. No, we do not have to be serious all the time. #JewelryIndustry #AGTATucson #Diamonds #Gemstones #BusinessStrategy

The Rise of Visual Trust. In a digital world, customers need to believe what they see. Photorealistic 3D renders and on-model videos build visual trust, turning hesitation into confidence. A customer who can visualize their jewelry online is twice as likely to complete a purchase, and far less likely to return it. Trust isn’t built by price points; it’s built by perception. In fact, 71% of online shoppers expect personalized experiences across every brand they interact with. Jewelry is emotional. It celebrates love, milestones, and identity. Giving customers the ability to design or co-create their own pieces isn’t a “feature.” It’s the future. At Gemist, we see 3× higher average order values when customers design their own jewelry online. That’s the ROI of emotion. Try Our Tech: https://lnkd.in/eF68AR8s

Your clients don’t just buy jewelry; they design it. They imagine the moment, the meaning, the yes. That’s emotional commerce. And it’s why the design experience matters just as much as the final piece. When someone creates a ring with their own hands, choosing the stone, the metal, the setting, they’re not just making jewelry. They’re creating a memory. At Gemist, we help jewelers bring that feeling online by giving every customer the chance to design the moment they’ve been dreaming of. ✨ See how Gemist transforms the journey: https://gemist.io/
