nomnonmnom

delicious. although i didn't cook it as long as she said, didn't want it that thick.

i liked it. you should try it.

also liked it. also you should try it.

i served this with rice, and i loved it. steve was a little more wary because of the rice. but it was good.

serving with rice, which means i'll probably like it more than stevis. oh well!!

keep cooking!!

fooooooooood!

let's see.

i've tried nacho skillet casserole, crispy cheddar chicken and overnight blueberry french toast. (all of which are located in my email, so if you would like it just let me know!)
all were decently delicious and i would try again.

i did not love this recipe, but it was good still.
i think it needed more cheese...

i went to the library and grabbed a few cookbooks from there.
i tried pollo frito from giada de laurentiis (i have no clue who she is but she's an italian cook).
it was delicious!!! so good in fact, i'm doing it again tonight.

we also did chicken chimichangas in green sauce from worldwide ward cookbook, secret recipe edition.
also, pretty delicious.

try them. you'll be glad you did!

the latest. not necessarily the greatest.

these are the latest recipes i've tried. and they have all been decent. didn't necessarily love them all but there were a few we'll try again.

i thought they needed a little more flavor. but still good.

wish it were smoother. wasn't entirely impressed.
probably will try it again when i can be home to stir it instead of leaving it on during church...

follow this link to find easy shepherd's pie (i thought it was pretty good, steve wanted his mom's)
and braided pizza loaf. delicious. try it.
they have some pretty good recipes on this website/blog and i have been getting most of my recipes from them.

i couldn't quite get my onion to bloom, but i bet if you can, it would be AWESOME!
i'll try harder next time. also comes with a recipe for the dipping sauce. pretty good.

i failed.

we used strawberries and raspberries and then dipped them into syrup. delicious. totally going to try it again.

really, really good. i would make them a lot more if i could afford it. physically and financially.

we went camping near donut falls this past weekend with some of my siblings. then we hiked/climbed the falls the next morning. SO FUN! i'd love to go back again sometime.

Image
this little man was super tired after the 4th of july. we gave him a tattoo mustache and i didn't have the heart to scrub it off. so he got to rock it for a few more days!

try some.

here are the latest and greatest.
coming to you from...drum roll please...pinterest!

as well as baked fried chicken

i did white chicken chili (from my awesome brother Cris!!!) for the first time. making it. i've eaten it before. but steve hadn't so it was a good first for him.

we have also tried/are trying a couple recipes off of this blog:
easy shepherd's pie, the special sauce for the burger and braided pizza loaf.

all of these recipes are pretty delicious, although i do suggest cutting some of them down for smaller families. let's just say we've been eating a lot of leftovers...

the latest yums.

spaghetti pie.
(in my email collection of recipes)
it was okay. next time, not using a whole pound of spaghetti. takes away from the rest of the flavor.

i also made my own fajita seasoning because i forgot to buy some.
it was good enough. i just googled it and found a recipe that way.

this was all right. if i do it again, it will have to be as a side dish.
i know. i made it a main dish. don't judge. i like salads as a main dish. it was steve who said otherwise.

okay, chicken didn't really make sense to me once i got down to it. so i didn't do it.
but other than that, pretty good. however, i do suggest using cubed cheese, it'll probably taste better and be easier to put together. i just couldn't find reasonably priced block mozzarella when i went to the store so i had to substitute.

really good. especially if you add ketchup and mustard and stuff when you're eating it.
2 problems with this recipe: they left out an ingredient; and they didn't tell you what to do after the meat was cooked. so i winged it after that. either way, it's edible enough to enjoy.  :)

i also did find a recipe called frito bandito salad but it turned out to be like the taco salad we used to have growing up. so i don't really count that as a new recipe.

food is good

well my most recent new recipes are as follows:

mexican pizza.(for recipe, let me know, it's in my email)
this is really good. basically just a different way of doing a taco/burrito.
and still every bit delicious!

not too bad. although, i do think the spinach made it taste not as good as it could have.
next time, no spinach.

bbq chicken pizza. (recipe is also in my email)
this recipe was a little disappointing. it tasted better (to me) when i put the red onions on raw instead of baking them with the rest of the pizza. and i did a pizza blend of cheese instead of mozzarella.
but steve really liked it.  so i'll probably try it again sometime.

our little man is learning to pull himself up. i thought this was pretty cute, the way he's hanging on to the table!

Image
our landlord got his girls a power wheels. so they let paizlee (the girl i babysit) drive it. and took adrik for a spin around the driveway. he loved it!

Image
we got to go to thanksgiving point's farm country. where adrik got to ride a pony, wagon and tractor! great fun!!

Image
mother's day!

Image

i went in to check on adrik one morning and he had disappeared! so i took this video to show where i found him after a moment of panic!!

more recipes.

i'm a little slow in getting these up. clearly.
so in no particular order these are the most recent recipes i've tried.

pretty good. really rich. but worth it.

from the 'anne of green gables' cookbook. it's REALLY good lemonade.
planning on trying it with limes...

not a huge fan of cordon bleu but this was really yummy and delicious. do it. you won't regret it.

SO DELICOUS! probably my favorite recipe so far. so GOOD. cannot emphasize this enough.

i love breakfast food. it makes me happy. this was fairly decent. not the greatest, but still delicious.

this was okay. i wasn't thrilled with how it turned out. but in the moment, i liked it.

i've gotten some pretty good reviews on this one (steve, mark lyman, and tanner). not as good when you reheat it, but definitely one i'll do again. surprisingly delish.
