Yes, Cayden is 10 today.[actually now it was yesterday] Geesh, it makes me feel old. I remember when I was ten. I'm pretty sure he is a little more "cool" than i was. Seriously, was that 23 years ago??
I do friend parties every other year. I'm thinking maybe the next one will be when he is 13.. These parties are killin' me! :) in my heart i really love doing them
& 10 is a BIG DEAL right!
Cayden always has an idea. i mean always. but, this year he was stumped. he couldn't figure out for the life of him what kind of party he wanted.
So we both agreed on a"favorite things" kind of a party---so that's what we did.
the invite:
I must admit this party was so hard for me not to go "all" out. cayden wanted it simple. hardly no decorations, & no frill. i tried my best! :)
All of his "favorite snacks"
+ he loves ice cream.
so we did a ice cream bar with all
of his "favorite toppings" too.
Then they got to play some of Cayden's "favorite
things!"
like:
a football brainteaser, who could build lego's the fastest, a basketball tournament. don't look to close at the picture.. i spelled basketball wrong :)
building your own light saber, & having an Asteroid hunt...
aluminum balls were made around pieces of candy
and hidden all around the front yard.
I think he had a wonderful birthday!
i took his class another one of his "favorites.."
mini cinnamon rolls & chocolate milk.
i took him out of school early.
a lunch date. just the two of us. & Audra. he loves her so much.
watching one of his favorite sports. basketball.:)
& drinking ice cream!!!
Happy big 10.
