Hi! I write and draw picture books.
If you want to know how to pronounce my name, watch this book trailer for A Normal Pig. I use she/her pronouns.
I’ve written and illustrated A Normal Pig and All Eyes on Ozzy! (both with Balzer + Bray/HarperCollins). I’m currently writing and illustrating Best Buds, a middle grade graphic novel (Kokila/Penguin Random House).
Some books I’ve illustrated include Noodlephant by Jacob Kramer (Enchanted Lion Books), the Lone Wolf early reader series by Kiah Thomas (Neal Porter Books), and That Always Happens Sometimes by Kiley Frank (Random House).
I’ve always loved art and books, and I’ve worked in museums and libraries as an adult. I was an Art Handler at the Museum of Modern Art in New York where I got to install Starry Night and Picasso’s Guitar. I also worked at the Free Library of Philadelphia, and the National Writing Project.
From 2018-2019 I was a Brown Handler Writer in Residence at the San Francisco Public Library, and a recipient of the James Marshall Fellowship at the University of Connecticut. I received the Ezra Jack Keats/Kerman Memorial Fellowship in 2018 at the University of Minnesota.
I was born in Charlton, Massachusetts and I now live in Stockholm, Sweden.
I'm represented by Erica Rand Silverman at Stimola Literary. Contact Erica for all book-related inquiries: erica@stimolaliterarystudio.com
