Illustrator with a soft spot for anthropology, peculiar animals and interesting stories. Born in Sardinia, living in Milan, missing the sea all the time.  My name is Roberta Ragona but it’s way easier to find me as Tostoini.  My experience in  illustration ranges from picture books and editorial to museums set-ups, educational materials, brand communication, advertising, websites, apps, to graphic recording and visual facilitation. I have a penchant for non-fiction illustration and a silly sense of humour.  I love projects that tackle serious topics with a bit of lightness, and and silly things explored with absolute seriousness. My first book as author&illustrator “Fossili Viventi” (Living Fossils), is published by Aboca Kids and got a 2nd place in Science Communication in Children Books from Giancarlo Dosi National Prize for Science Communication by the National Research Council (CNR).

If you happen to stumble on one of my illustrations online i’m fairly certain it’s going be one of a manatee. It’s a whole thing, keep exploring if you’re curious.
