13 months

Our little girl is growing up! She's fully a walker, no more crawling. She's always happy and smiley. She nods and says yes to pretty much any question. She's always busy and keeps us on our toes. She's banned me entirely from feeding her foods (yogurt and oatmeal are the only things I was) because it's much more fun for her to do it herself.

She loves her brothers and is not bothered or deterred by the craziness that they bring.
She loves our bedtime routine.... She plays in the bathroom at the tub while dad is giving her brothers baths. She's become much more reluctant to her evening breastfeeding. She just needs to be part of the bedtime party (reading and roughhousing)!
She breastfeeds 2 other times/day. Morning and before her afternoon nap.

May Pre-K

May 1st was my last turn to teach our Pre-K. The assigned theme was "summer" so after our story, writing, and math, we had a picnic and played lawn games.

Pre-K Graduation. They acted out a story and sang a couple of song.

One song said "we're off to kindergarten" and he performed that part happily. Then it went on to "we won't be here in preschool anymore" and he got super sad. I'm told he cried at that part during both days of rehearsal as well. A friend was taking video and sent it to me. Here he is in 4 of the frames, after the last one he ran to me. He's so sweet.

Despite my best effort I teared up a little at seeing him so sad. Here we are, 2 sad goofs at a Pre-K graduation.

He recovered pretty quickly and here he is back in it again.

After we got home I coaxed him into posing for one last photo.

Mom + Toddler Time

Our youngest got one last year home with mommy during the father & sons camp out.

We walked to a park we don't usually go to and he had so much fun!

He has never liked the swing, it's probably been over a year since he agreed to even try one. But he asked to get in the swing. I was super surprised but obliged and then he immediately started freaking out. Since he'd requested it I didn't feel too guilty about snapping a picture before getting him out.

The next morning we went to the library garden (he loved seeing the strawberry plants) and to the playground behind our house while waiting for the big boys to return.
