I am slowly getting it.

Look at me I have a background. I also have some friends and family. Isn't that great?

I have had a head cold all week and have felt like crap so I have been inside doing a bit more blogging. I guess that is why I am slowly figuring it out!

Anyway I have been trying to start Ivy on solids and she did good for a little while until her Grandpa Peart fed her licorice, and her Grandma White fed her chocolate pudding. Now she thinks that baby cereal isn't too good. Thanks grandparents. So anyway if anybody has any suggestions on how to get her to eat solids I would love it. She is pretty stubborn she is tight lipped and if I so happen to sneak some food in she spits it out and makes the most terrible face ever. It is quite amusing. Well that is all for now. I hope everybody is doing great. Oh and for those of you who comment on my blog and don't invite me to see your's please send me an invite. Paul and April, Aunt Patti, and Christi!

Were back from the dead

Ivy is so excited to be back with her cousin DylanImage
ImageImageSo we've moved yet again and as you can see Ivy's crazy parents wear her right out!Anyway we are now living in Willard Ut. It is great to be back. Randy is welding, and training, and I am doing the mom thing and loving it as well as teaching horsemanship lessons to little kids.

Recently Randy and I had a birthday. For Randy's birthday we went to the Zoo and Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band concert, and for mine we went to the Salt Lake Aquarium, and Crystal Hot springs.

It is so good to be in Willard and back in Utah. It has been a little cold the past few days as you can see in Ivy's winter attire. If any of you go and get something at Smith and Edwards we are just 5 miles from there, and we are just 3 1/2 miles from the famous Maddox so stop in and see us. We live really close to the fruit highway I hear it is called. I will try harder to keep my blog updated the blogs are so fun to read. O and My blog always looks better in the rough draft and as soon as I post it, it goes all crazy on me. I am really bad with this computer stuff so if anybody has any tips for me I would really love it.

Forever Now

Image Sorry about the last two posts. I don't have the internet so I go to the library, so I am on a time schedule with Ivy, and by the time I was able to get my pictures uploaded Ivy said it was time to go so I didn't have time to put words to them. Sorry about that.

So I went to get Ivy's shots at about two months and she was looking quite girly she was in pink everything and the nurse was like, "oh your little boy is so cute, so your boy this and your boy that." Well finally I had enough of it so I was like, "SHE'S A SHE!" Oh it makes me so mad. People need to just look at the clothes. Well so to make a long story short I decided to make her some bows out of tights and ribbion so nobody would mistake her for a boy again. What do you think? Ivy isn't quite sure what she thinks about it she prefers her bald head instead. She is cute non the less.
California is pretty nice. The Place we live at has tons of fruit trees. That is one of our favorite things to do. Ivy and I go for a walk in the stroller down the lane and then go pick some fruit and lie underneath the big fruit trees for shade. That way we can keep an eye on Randy and enjoy the shade and fruit at the same time. Ivy is already three months old. She is getting to be such a big girl. I can't believe how much having a child changes your life. They are so wonderful. Ivy has been sleeping through the night for about a month now. She is kind of a night owl and an early riser. She sleeps from about 11 to 5:30. then she takes a big nap from about 8Image to 11 in the morning. She is such a good baby.

Ivy goes everywhere with her moma. The other day we went to Get Smart at the theatre and she did pretty good I took a bottle just in case and she started fussing so we stood in the isle where she spit up all over me and fussed till she went to sleep We watched the moving standing while Randy sat alone wait
ing to find the binki she spit out when she had had enough of sucking on something that wasn't giving her anything. What I did see of the movie was pretty good. I would recommend going without your baby if at all possible.
The weather is cooling down a ton more. The nights are cooling down which is Heaven sent. It is nice to finally sleep with a sheet. I don't know it is something about having covers that make you sleep better. I don't know what it is about California but I have been to 3 barbecues since I have been here and it is the best food I have ever had . Their barbecues are out of control. They have everything under the sun. Chicken on a cabob cooked to perfection, shrimp, every kind of appatizer dip you could dream of, and anything else you can think of. It is insane. I still can't get over the fancy barbecues. They also have 1 bucket of water for every 5 buckets of beer. There are some serious drinkers out here. I don't even have to worrk about turning it down because I am a nursing mother. Randy isn't as fortunate and has to turn it down quite frequently.
I am glad that I don't have internet in a way because it forces me to come to the library and then when I get here I end up checking out a dozen books that I think look good and it is great. I am doing tons of reading. There are so many good books out there. I recommend reading the Ted Dekker series the first booImagek is called Chosen. It is an easy read, super intense, with a little romance to it. I can't wait to read the rest of them. Growing up in Randolph I never really had the chance to experience a Library, but they are great so whomever is in a city go check out your library they are wonderful.
Well sorry about my crazy obsession with the library it is quite an exciting thing for me as you can see.
Randy's boss has been gone for 2 weeks so he is in charge of the ranch and the horses. Which is totally great. I go and help him when Ivy sleeps and we get done a little earlier because of it and then we go play tennis which we are both terrible at but I always beat Randy and it makes him so mad. He still challenges me hoping that someday he can beat me.

My ward is great. I did have to speak in church last sunday which was okay because then I met a ton more people because they knew who I was but the rotten thing was I had to speak and Randy didn't. Randy thinks that was pretty great. They are great though. Out of Utah your ward really becomes pretty tight. They have mom clubs and swim parties. I just joined my wards mom club and I go to a swim party every tuesday afternoon. They also have a book club that I am thinking about joining since I am such a library geek now. Well who knows. I am adjusting pretty well. I still miss home but I always will. Hope everybody is doing great. Keep in touch with me!

California Whities

Image Hey All,
What do you think of these Pics? I am not quite sure how to do this so next time I will have some more pictures. I can't promise anything but we can only hope.
So things have been going pretty well here. The internship that Randy is doing is a little frusterating but we are trying to make the most of it. The guy he is working for is a little burnt out and he hardly ever rides. He was really good in his prime so we know that he knows his stuff it is just a matter of him teaching randy what he knows. We are still learning a lot though just by watching and being around the buisness. Ivy is adjusting well. She did have a heat rash when we first moved here but she is doing much better now. Image
She now weighs 10 lbs. 11 oz and she is 23 inches long. She is coming up on 11 weeks this thursday. She is doing fun things every day. She moves her legs so much I think she is going to walk away on me. she smiles and tries to talk to me. It is way fun. Bathes and meal times are her favorite. She also loves her stroller. Randy , Ivy , and I went to Watsonville California last week to a horse show. We were there from tuesday to sunday. It was a lot of fun. We were right on the coast so the weather was cool and fresh. Ivy and I got to sleep in and take lots of stroller rides. Randy got horses ready for the clients to show and when he was done he could come and hang out with Ivy and I. There was a lot of free ice cream and walks around the fair grounds. Our hotel was only 5 miles from the Ocean so Saturday night we got done early and we went to the beach. It was too fun. It was a nice sandy beach and we found sand dollars, then right after I beat Randy in Wiffle ball I was able to convince Randy to come with me in the "shark infested waters" and go wave surfing. We had the time of our lives. Don't worry we were mostly alone on the beach and Ivy was sound asleep in her stroller. We didn't bring swimsuits because it was cold and we didn't plan on getting in. I couldn't resist those big waves and Randy couldn't let me go without him so we got crazy. We decided that was one of our top 3 fun things that we have done since we have been married. We watched the sun set and headed back to the hotel. We are missing home, (Utah) or family is more like it. We've decided that home is where your family is at. But as long as we have each other and the gospel we are doing okay. Well that is all for this week. Hopefully I will have some more pictures next week and a new update. Keep in touch.
