After the kids soccer game, we came home and opened presents.
Then we headed off to get haircuts, lunch, and Aunt Donna's carnival. Zackie was hungry so he made Mikie carry his plate.
We are moving up on the ladder, instead of Target Cafe for the birthday meal...we got Penn Station. YUMMO. And thanks to Aunt Donna we got out of Chuck E. Cheese... yep Aunt Donna's is just THAT fun. A Fall Carnival with no loosers, every kids dreams. Especially when you come home with a garbage bag FULL of goodies. Too bad I never get pictures.
The next day... was Mikie's blessing, and a party after for Hallie and him.
I made her the princess cake, and she wanted to show everyone her Halloween Costume.
We had a few photo shoots during the party.
Jer Finally got to bust out the cotton candy maker... Kennie's been asking for it since his birthday.
Everyone loved it.
Photo Shoot number 2.
Hallie practicing her Photography skills.
Kennie with some of Hallie's goods... nerd filled gumballs.
Soccer's over, well almost we are going to have an end of the season party. This was one activity that i was sad to see end so soon. It ended just as they were catching on to the game. The last game was a while ago, Hallie's birthday actually...we WON...2-0, and Hallie scored both of the goals. It was great for Hallie, sad for Kennie. He's very sad he didn't get another chance to score since the last game was cancelled. (part of his tit for tat stage he's in). I have no idea what was going on in the picture but it looks like Kennie is getting some tips from his wise older sister.
I remember being overwhelmed at the thought of being a mother after I had Hallie. Me a MOM. It was a crazy thought. Sadly it still freaks me out every now and then.... still even after having four children. Then I think Holy Crap. I have four kids... that's as many as my mom has. That's as many as I'll ever have. I have four kids. FOUR KIDS.... I still feel like a kid.
I still love calling on my mom for help, and I'm grateful for all the help she is, my yard this summer might even be more grateful. Well my neighbors at least should be, who knows what they would have had to look at.
I guess if I'm half the mom she is my kids will turn out okay. Let's hope.
is simultaneously is regressing and demanding independence
can fit into size one diapers
already acts like a class clown
He had PLENTY of help opening presents.
I had to get a shot of the croc's he got.... they look like actual croc's. He loves them.
Cake Face
He's been in LOVE with big dog-dogs. We spied this at a shop, and I finally talked Jer into buying it for him. We've got a jockey in training....especially since his projected height is going to be 5'3"....yikes.
Eight days old. First family party. And it looks like he already knows the kind of family he's been born into.....sorry.
