Sunday Fun Version 12.23.12
Charlie and Adella got to sport their Christmas outfits to church - they wore these for Santa a few weeks ago, but I'm all for taking every opportunity to wear cute clothes over and over again!
The funny thing about Charlie
I have been trying and trying to get a picture of Charlie 'squatting' but just can't seem to get it, because he doesn't stay like that long enough once he sees the camera. I'm certain this kid is going to be a baseball catcher! He will squat down, arms on his legs, bum not touching the floor and just stay there, and then pop right back up to a standing position. He often does this when he is picking up toys - so perfect for a baseball catcher!
But then just when I am sure of that, he does this again
So maybe football is more in his cards?

Sunday - not so- Fun Version 12.16.2012
Last Sunday started out OK, we made it through church and were having a good time playing around,
Charlie took a 3 hour nap and woke up like nothing had happened. He was ready to play and totally fine. Adam also got sick that afternoon and came home from work early. I thought maybe I got lucky, but by that evening I was also sick and seemed to get the worst of it as I couldn't keep anything down for nearly 48 hours. It was horrible.
and then it all went downhill.
First up, this little guy fell on a toy and hit his eye real good. He was pretty upset and hurt, and got a nice shiner.
Then, Adella out of nowhere got sick. She was fine one minute and the next thing she had thrown up everywhere. She instantly looked miserable and spent the whole rest of the day like this
It was really really sad. You could see in her eyes how crummy she felt. She had no energy and couldn't keep anything down. Luckily she didn't have a fever and stopped throwing up early the next morning. We luckily had pedialyte on hand and were able to keep her hydrated. Unfortunately, that next day Charlie also threw up out of nowhere. No warning. I put him in his high chair for lunch and he just lost it. I was panicked. If he acted anything like Adella I knew I couldn't do it alone, and she had just finished off the pedialyte. Luckily I was able to get a hold of an awesome sister in our ward who came to my rescue, bringing pedialyte, medicine plus lunch for me, dinner for that night and chocolate. She was a total lifesaver!

But we survived our first full blown family illness and we are all doing much better!

Weekend roundup
One of Adam's coworkers won tickets to a Sun's game and couldn't go so gave them to him. The suns are pretty horrible this year, but the seats were great and Adam really wanted to go so we did... with the babies! Yes, we are crazy! we generally have a strict bedtime around here, but decided to give it a shot, knowing we would leave at the first sign of fussiness. You know what, we actually made it till the end of the 3rd quarter! They actually weren't even being that fussy, we just left because they were sooo tired.
In true boy form, Charlie was totally into the game. We were actually worried he would freak out at all the noise as he is pretty sensitive to sounds - but he was totally fine, even during the pregame festivities! And Adella was a total girl. Loved people watching more than anything. She spent most of the night turned around smiling and entertaining all the people behind us!
The next day we headed to the circus!
Adam's work party this year was a circus, it was very small but was in an actual circus tent - I've never been to one in a tent so that was kinda fun (well until I started having a panic attack when the elephants came out and I saw how MASSIVELY HUGE they are and how close we were to them! All I could think is if they go on a rampage, were all goners!)
True to form, Adella had a lot of fun people watching but also enjoyed the show too. Charlie was glued to the show pretty much the whole time. We were actually quite impressed with how well they just sat there and didn't fuss at all. They usually can barely make it through sacrament meeting with us holding them, so the fact that they just sat there for both the game and the circus was amazing! As we were leaving the lady behind us commented how good they both were. So happy they didn't cause a scene!
First colds
Charlie and Adella got their first colds last week - not exactly a happy milestone but so glad we made it this long! It didn't slow them down much, but I went through A LOT of burp clothes wiping those nasty faces!
Are you ready for this?
GROSS! This little man was one fountain of snot! I was wiping him up as much as I could but just couldn't keep up!

Daddy dressings
Recently Adam has begun to find it hilarious to dress the babies in the worst combinations of clothes possible. He knows exactly what he is doing too, this is no accident.
These guys don't care, they're just happy to be going somewhere. And yes I took them out like that. I'm not doing laundry anymore than I have too!

Sunday Fun Version 12.9.12: A little ridiculousness
So we like to go on walks as a family, and now that it's colder we have to bundle up. Only sometimes that doesn't translate into the most fashion friendly attire.
Charlie is sporting a brown checked button down with a camo diaper, maroon and gold baby legs, brown socks, black fleece with blue dino hoodie and black monster mittens. Well played charlie well played.
Your sweetness has a brown floral dress with pink/blue paisly diaper, pink dot baby legs mutli colored striped fleece, pink mittens and white socks. Beautiful!
Really, what do they care, they just want to go for a walk!

Santa! I know him!
These kids weren't exactly thrilled to see Santa, but hey (and I totally just said hey in my head like Uncle Si- if you know what I mean), they didn't scream at least!

Free Old Navy Activewear!
So earlier this week I got some surprise coupons in the mail for free activewear from Old Navy for me and a friend! Last night Alex and I went shopping!
OK yes we MIGHT have ended up with the exact same outfit - well at least our pants are different colors! It was so fun to try on all the activewear and find what fit best! We loved that we could even get a jacket for free!! It even has the thumbholes in it so you can keep your hands warm.
Since people will ask I am sure, I got the coupons from a survey company called Crowdtap. It's super easy survey's and activities. This is the first product sampling I've gotten from them, but we've also reedeemed probably around $80 worth of Amazon cards this past 6 months or so as well. If you want to try it to, check it out here Crowdtap.

I did it
I debated on sharing, because let's be honest no one likes to really admit they need to drop some wieght, BUT it's not like its a big secret or anything. So I'm sharing! I ventured back into weight watchers last week. I've wanted to go back for a long time, I know it work and I love it but I just didn't want to pay for it really. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the money is sooo beyond worth it. I tried doing it by myself and I wasn't getting very far. I know lots of people who can do it by themselves and I so admire them - I just need a little extra help and support! I guess it's good that I know what works for me. So I'm excited for this new journey - I even survived this last weekend with FOUR parties and peeked at the scale Monday morning and it was GREAT news! Woohoo for a program that fits my life! Can't wait to see what the scale actually says tomorrow morning!
Sunday Fun Version 12.2.12
So I've been on a sewing kick lately - I discovered Adella only had TWO dresses in her current size so I of course needed to change that! I also discovered that you get what you get when you use a tutorial and pattern off the internet - this dress pattern was on a toddler - at LEAST 2 years old. The author said the dress was baggy so you needed the sash to make it look right. UMMMMM... It BARELY fits Adella and she is SMALL for her age! But it's so stinking cute so we are getting as much wear out of it as possible the next month or so!
Can't leave this guy out!
