Updates

What...someone actually reads my blog still? I'm shocked!  And touched.

I realize my blog updates have been more than sparse as of late.  And by sparse I mean non existent!  However I have a whole bunch of updates in store.   There are pictures and stories that I need to post so that I don't forget them.  Because let's be honest...I'm getting old and my once awesome memory is a thing of the past.  In fact I pat myself on the back if I remember what day of the week it is.

However I've also decided that I don't want my pictures and stories floating around for just any creepster with Internet access to gawk at.  Therefore I have decided I'm going to be making this blog private.

So if any of you would still like to peruse my blog just shoot me a line and I will make sure you get an invite.  Cause I know there's got to be one or two peeps out there who find my life somewhat fascinating.

And be on the watch for a whole lotta "catch up" posts.

Cash's Birthday

Cash could not wait for his birthday this year.  He just knew it was going to be the best day ever!

We let Cash open his presents bright and early!

Cash had asked for boxes for his birthday, and a real rocket.  Unfortunately he didn't get either, but I think he was thrilled with his gifts anyway.  He is my crafty kid, so he ended up getting sidewalk paint, playdough, stamps, kinetic sand, a paint by water book and shrinky dinks.  He also got a watch, because he's always wanted one.

He also got some dinosaur tails (thanks to aunt Ashley for assisting with the sewing) because he loves to dress up.  However he refused to model them, so Cort did it instead!

Cash had a tough time deciding how to spend the day.  He wanted to do EVERYTHING, such as go to the zoo, go to trafalga, go to Thanksgiving Point, and go bowling. In the end he settle upon going bowling, then to the arcade.

He chose Pizza Pie Cafe for dinner, and invited the Smith side of the family to join us. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures at dinner, but I got these pictures of the three kids just before dinner!

I never knew it would be so hard to get three kids to look at a camera and simply smile!

After dinner we met Grandma and Grandpa Swenson back at our house for some rocket cake/cupcakes and icecream.

Cash really wanted a rocket cake this year.  We looked at lots of ideas on Pinterest, and I let Cash pick the colors.
In the end this is what we came up with.

Cash has decided it's great to be 4!
