Ben who was out of the room during my turn also asked for socks:)

Abby was the Angel.

Austin was a sheep. Bryson and GBB opted out of the Nativity.

(You may notice what looks like a sticker, it is actually a bandage. To start off Christmas Eve Morning Austin jumped off his chair, Austin fell to the floor, the chair fell on the Austin and sliced his eyebrow open. Fortunately it was not deep enough to need stitches.)

So I spend countless hours making quilts for the kids. they love Mario Kart. I decided that since they are likely to be spilled on and drug outside, I wasn't going to stress over the squares (2in squares for those who care) lining up perfectly and I wouldn't unstitch. Anyway they are far from perfect but you get the idea of what they are.....hopefully :)

Bryson with his Mario Quilt I made for him. I think he liked it :)

GBB with his sinister smile. He loved his Star Wars Bath Toys. Yes we had a Geek-tastic Christmas.

Austin helped me finish the 550 piece Mario puzzle.

The kids got sleds for Christmas. We took them to a park to sled. Garrett was more interested in the playground.

Abby and her sled. We had a great time and no injuries so that is always a plus.

We have to put down all the chairs to prevent GBB from climbing i apparently forgot one and he helped himself to an apple.

9 Years

Today was our 9th Wedding Anniversary.
As I think back on those years together, the bad, the good, and the great, I am reminded how lucky I am to have married such a wonderful man. He is still the love of my life and I know I am his. To be loved unconditionally by someone is a gift and to have them as committed to you and the things you believe in is blessing. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and father.

Thank you Ben for 9 amazing years and to endless more.

I love you to the moon and back!

Our Anniversary has become known by the kids as our Family Birthday. Bryson said he wanted a cake, Austin said it must be "an awesome green cake" because that is his favorite color, and Abby insisted it have flowers on it. A Family Birthday Miracle occurred and I found a cake that fit the bill.
Now in my attempts to capture the moment, the candles melted to a pathetic size. I finally got Ben's phone balanced to video the occasions and my camera set to a timer to take multiple shots in hopes that there would be one decent picture of us blowing out the candles. The kids were given very specific instructions not to blow until they heard the camera start clicking away. Multiple attempts ensued and this was the final result :)

Bryson's 5th Birthday!

We celebrated Bryson's 5th Birthday this month.  Abby made the poster and decorated.
Image

He was super excited for his scooter. He rides it every chance he gets (or sneaks out to get) and he has the skinned knees to prove it.
Image

He wanted to race in a car for his birthday.
Image

His Birthday Cake request was exactly this "I want a vanilla cake with no frosting, covered in doughnuts." He agreed to a whip cream frosting, and it turned out pretty tasty.

Happy Birthday Bryson. We love you!

Mother's Day

One of the things I look forward to the most for Mother's Day is the Mother's Day program at the preschool. It's the same song every year, but I love it!

Bryson cracks me up. I asked him to sing load so I could hear him and do all the actions and he was true to his word. :) He's on the right in the green plaid shirt.

A shout out to great ladies, Elaine and Dianne, Happy Mother's Day, we love you!

Ben got some sweet argyle socks, a shopping spree and plants for a salsa garden.Image
