Charles Addams, or "Chas" as his friends called him, was born 7 January 1912 in New Jersey, specifically Westfield. He first drew The Addams Family in 1938. The Addams family consisted of several unnamed characters that can now be recognized as Fester, Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Grandmama, Lurch, and Aristotle. Charles later added Thing to the family in 1954. Cousin Itt, Kitty Kat, and Cleopatra were soon added to the family.

Year 2005: Tyler Galpin is born to Sheriff Donovan Galpin and Francoise Sylvanne Galpin (née Night) in Jericho, Vermont, USA. After Tyler's birth, Francoise's postpartum depression begins causing her to lose control of her transformations as a hyde, and Donovan builds a secret hyde shelter underneath the backyard of their house as a safe haven for Tyler in case Francoise ever transforms.
