Grafana Alloy Windows silent install and service configuration note
Grafana Alloy has documented Windows silent-install options that are useful for managed deployments. Run the official installer elevated with <PATH>\alloy-installer-windows-amd64.exe /S. Operational options include /CONFIG=<path> to point the service at a configuration file, /DISABLEREPORTING=yes and /DISABLEPROFILING=yes to control telemetry/profiling behavior, /ENVIRONMENT="KEY=VALUE\0KEY2=VALUE2" to set service environment values, /USERNAME="<username>" and /PASSWORD="*" to run the Windows service under a specific account, and /FORCEREGISTRY=yes when an upgrade should rewrite preserved service registry options. The default install path is %PROGRAMFILES%\GrafanaLabs\Alloy; service configuration is stored under HKLM\Software\GrafanaLabs\Alloy with REG_MULTI_SZ values for arguments and environment.
