Amazon Redshift ODBC dependency note
For Amazon Redshift ODBC Driver deployments on Windows, stage the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dependency with the driver package. AWS documents the Windows ODBC driver install/configuration flow and calls out the Visual C++ Redistributable requirement on the official setup page: docs.aws.amazon.com/redshift/latest/mgmt/odbc20-install-config-win.html.
In Intune, ConfigMgr, or scripted installs, make the Visual C++ runtime a prerequisite/dependency and keep detection separate from the Redshift ODBC driver DisplayVersion. A failed driver install caused by a missing runtime can otherwise look like an installer issue even though the package source is correct.
