Chromas close-before-update deployment note
For managed Chromas updates, close the application before starting the installer. Packaging-reference testing flags this app for close-before-update handling: the update will fail if Chromas is open (Exit Code 5). Build the package around the vendor/project installer from the official source, then add a pre-close or user-deferral step before update enforcement.

For managed ChromasPro EXE-x64 updates, close ChromasPro before setup. If the application is open, the update can fail with Exit Code 5; close the sequence viewer first and confirm the installed version afterward.
