CodeMeter Runtime Kit close-before-update note

For managed CodeMeter Runtime Kit updates, make sure CodeMeter tools are closed before the installer runs. The Windows EXE package can return 1 when CodeMeter is open during update, so configure deployment tooling to close or prompt for the related runtime/control-center processes before retrying.

Use the official Wibu-Systems user software downloads page as the package source and verify the installed version after the process is closed. This matters on engineering or licensing-server endpoints where CodeMeter components may stay active.
