Cryptomator close-before-update note
For managed Cryptomator Windows updates, close Cryptomator before launching the installer. The Windows package can return Exit Code 1603 when Cryptomator is open during an EXE or MSI update; add a pre-update close or conflicting-process step and verify the app relaunches from the updated binaries afterward.
Use the official project/vendor page as the installer source: Cryptomator download/source page.
For managed Cryptomator EXE/MSI deployments, pre-stage the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable x64 runtime before installation or update. Track the runtime as a prerequisite so encrypted-vault client installs on clean machines have the required VC++ component.

For managed Cryptomator updates, close Cryptomator before launching the Windows installer. The EXE x64 and MSI x64 packages are close-before-update cases that can return Exit Code 1603 while Cryptomator is open; pre-close it and rerun detection after setup. Source: official Cryptomator source.
