Curve Series close-before-update and prerequisites note
For managed Curve Series / Curveseries Desktop EXE updates, close the desktop application before starting the upgrade. Update testing has shown the EXE-x86 installer can return Exit Code 5 when the application is open, so deployment tools should prompt, close, or defer rather than updating over an active trading/analytics session.
Validate prerequisites before deploying to clean machines. The official CurveSeries download page lists a 64-bit Java JRE requirement in its minimum requirements, and managed packages should also include the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 / current Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dependency used by the desktop installer.
