DFdiscover

For managed DFdiscover MSI updates, close DFdiscover before starting the installer. The MSI update can return Exit Code 1618 when the application is open during the update process, so deployments should include a conflicting-process prompt or pre-close step rather than repeatedly retrying the same install.

Use DFnet’s official DFdiscover downloads page as the source reference: https://www.dfnetresearch.com/dfdiscover-cdms/downloads/. After remediation, verify the Add/Remove Programs entry and the launched DFdiscover version to catch endpoints that were left partially updated by a running client.
