EShare managed update close-before-update note
For managed EShare updates, close EShare before starting the installer. Both the EXE and MSI x86 update paths can return Exit Code 1 when the application is open during the update process, so deployment tooling should use a conflicting-process prompt or pre-close step before retrying.
Use the official EShare site as the source reference for the Windows client: https://eshare.app/. After remediation, verify the Add/Remove Programs entry and launched EShare version so endpoints blocked by a running session are not left partially updated.
