Folge

For managed Folge updates, close Folge before the installer starts. The Windows EXE and per-user packages can return Exit Code 2 when Folge is still running, so configure deployment tooling to notify the user and close the authoring app before retrying the update.

Also stage the current x64 Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable before deploying the Folge EXE or per-user Windows package. The EXE-x64 and User-x64 packages have a Visual C++ v14 runtime prerequisite; missing runtimes can make first installs or repairs look like installer failures rather than a dependency gap.

Use the official Folge download page as the package source and Microsoft’s supported Visual C++ Redistributable page as the runtime source, then verify the installed version after the process is closed.
