Genesys Cloud desktop prerequisite note
For Genesys Cloud desktop app packaging, include the Visual C++ v14 Redistributable prerequisite in deployment planning. Deployment prerequisites list the GenesysCloud EXE x64 package as requiring the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 Redistributable x64, so a clean device without that runtime can fail before the desktop app is usable.
When deploying with Intune or ConfigMgr, install or require the runtime first and keep Genesys Cloud detection focused on the desktop app itself. Use the official Genesys desktop-app/download documentation as the vendor source for the app package, but treat the runtime as a separate prerequisite rather than assuming the EXE always remediates it for managed deployments.
