Ghostscript official download source note
For Ghostscript packaging, use Artifex’s official Ghostscript download page as the source for Windows installers and record the exact Ghostscript build used for deployment. This is preferable to relying on repackaged mirrors when you need predictable detection, rollback, or security-review evidence.
Official source: Ghostscript official downloads.
Ghostscript silent-install source note
Do not assume newer Ghostscript installers support unattended deployment just because older packages did. Artifex documented that Ghostscript 10.01.0 intentionally disabled the silent-install option; managed deployments should verify the exact installer behavior before publishing a quiet command.
If you need automated rollout, pin and test the specific Ghostscript package version, and document whether silent install is supported for that release. Treat the Artifex notice as the source when explaining why a package has no safe /S or equivalent silent-install command.
Silent Install Support Supressed
Ghostscript has intentionally disabled unattended silent installation support. For details, see https://bugs.ghostscript.com/show_bug.cgi?id=706495
