xet-core is the Xet client technology used in huggingface_hub for chunk-based deduplication, efficient storage/retrieval with local disk caching, and backwards compatibility with Git LFS. XetHub, acquired by Hugging Face, provides Git-like version control for large ML datasets and models.[1][2][3]
