gpodder close-before-update note
For managed gpodder updates, close the running application before launching the installer. Returns Exit Code 0, but the binaries are not updated. Configure a pre-close/user-deferral or conflicting-process rule for gpodder rather than repeatedly retrying the update while the app is open.

For managed gPodder updates, close gPodder before setup starts. If gPodder is left open, setup can return success while the binaries are not updated; close the application first and verify the file version afterward.
