HashTools close-before-update and source note
For managed HashTools Windows updates, close the application before launching the installer. Deployment testing flags this as an app-specific conflict case: the EXE x64 installer can return Exit Code 1 when HashTools is still open. Use a pre-close, user-deferral, or conflicting-process step, then rerun detection and verify the installed binaries/version rather than relying on blind retries.
