IrfanView close-before-update note

Close IrfanView before applying a managed update. If i_view64.exe or i_view32.exe remains open, the installer can return Exit Code 0 while the application is not updated, leaving file versions and Add/Remove Programs detection out of sync. Add an IrfanView-specific pre-close or user-deferral step, rerun the installer only after the process is closed, and verify the installed executable version after the update.

For managed IrfanView updates, close IrfanView before invoking the update. Open sessions can result in an update run that returns success while the binaries are not actually updated, so use a pre-close step and verify the file/product version afterward.
