Kobo Desktop Visual C++ prerequisite note

For managed Kobo Desktop installs on Windows, make sure Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) is present before deploying or updating the EXE. On clean shared-library or kiosk images, add the x86 runtime as a package dependency so the Kobo installer is not blocked by a missing prerequisite.

Use Kobo’s official desktop download page as the application source and Microsoft as the runtime source.
