libvips

libvips is a demand-driven, horizontally threaded image processing library that runs quickly and uses little memory. It supports around 300 operations and many image formats including JPEG, TIFF, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, and more. It is licensed under LGPL-2.1-or-later and used in various applications such as sharp, bimg, mediawiki, and PhotoFlow.
