LogFusion close-before-update note
For managed LogFusion updates, close LogFusion before invoking the installer. If LogFusion is open, the update can fail with exit code 1; pre-close the application or notify users before retrying. Official source: LogFusion vendor/project documentation.
LogFusion deployment and update note
For silent installation of LogFusion, use the EXE installer with /VERYSILENT /NORESTART or standard MSI options such as msiexec /i LogFusion.msi /qn /norestart. For Group Policy deployment, apply the provided MST transform file on the Modifications tab and include MSI properties CUSTOM1="/VERYSILENT" and LAUNCHAFTER=0 so setup completes without UI prompts or auto-launching the app.
For managed updates, close LogFusion before running the upgrade. LogFusion EXE updates can return Exit Code 1 when the application is open, so deployment tools should notify the user or close LogFusion.exe first and then verify the installed version after setup completes.
Use the official LogFusion download page as the package source; avoid mixing EXE and MSI command lines in the same deployment because their silent-install switches and transform/property handling differ.
