MediaInfo close-before-update and Windows source note

For managed MediaInfo Windows updates, close the application before launching the installer. Deployment testing flags this as an app-specific conflict case: the EXE x64 installer can return Exit Code 0 while leaving binaries unchanged when MediaInfo is open. Use a pre-close, user-deferral, or conflicting-process step, then rerun detection and verify the installed binaries/version rather than relying on blind retries.

Use the official project/vendor page as the package source: MediaInfo official download/source page.

For managed MediaInfo updates, close MediaInfo before launching the installer. If the application is open, setup can return Exit Code 0 while the binaries are not updated; close MediaInfo first and verify the executable version afterward.
