Jitsi Meet Desktop close-before-update note
For managed Windows deployments of Jitsi Meet Desktop, close the running app before applying an EXE/User update. Treat Jitsi Meet.exe as a conflicting process: notify the user, close it during a maintenance window, or defer the update rather than retrying while the app is open. Updates attempted while the desktop client is running can fail with a nonzero installer result.
Use the official Jitsi Meet Electron project and its GitHub releases as the package source, and record whether you packaged the per-user desktop installer. If your deployment tool supports process rules, bind the close/retry rule to the desktop executable before running the new installer.
