Community Notes
Microsoft Teams bootstrapper deployment note
New Microsoft Teams for Windows is deployed with Microsoft’s bootstrapper rather than a normal version-pinned MSI. For bulk deployment, Microsoft documents commands such as teamsbootstrapper.exe -p to provision the new Teams MSIX package and teamsbootstrapper.exe -x to remove it.
Plan detection and change control around the bootstrapper behavior: it installs the current Teams package available to the bootstrapper instead of a package version you can fully freeze in the MSI content. If you need to remove Teams classic during migration, Microsoft documents using the bootstrapper uninstall option with -u for that cleanup path.
